The national travel group AAA predicts that Orlando and Central Florida will once again be the No. 1 travel destination this Memorial Day holiday, and the early projections at Orlando International Airport (MCO) support that prediction.

The unofficial start to the summer travel season is underway with Orlando International expecting a 6 percent increase in passenger traffic for the six-day travel weekend. Just under a million travelers are expected at MCO between Thursday, May 23, 2024, and Tuesday, May 30th. The busiest travel day is projected to be on the actual holiday, Monday, when nearly 177 thousand passengers will move through MCO.
