A brand new indoor attraction which will offer up-close animal encounters is coming to the heart of Orlando's tourist district on International Drive.
Cool Zoo Wildlife Center, a wildlife rehabilitation and rescue center in Polk County is opening a new indoor attraction on International Drive that will offer up-close encounters with many animals including sloths, kangaroos, lemurs, alligators, capybaras, snakes, porcupines and more.
Cool Zoo are no strangers to I-Drive where they regularly offer meet and greets with animals for a fee during the various home shows at the Orange County Convention Center.
They are now opening a 10,000 square feet indoor wildlife experiences, where you can meet the animals, together with interactive educational elements, highlighting the importance of conservation.
The attraction will also include hands-on activities including gemstone mining, wax hands fun, and fossil finding.
Cool Zoo Wildlife Center president Jim DeBerry commented on the opening, “We’re so excited to invite Orlando residents and guests from around the world who share our love of wildlife and conservation to meet our ambassador animals and we hope to spark a love for wildlife conservation in everyone who visits,”
Cool Zoo pointed out that its animal encounters meet the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Ambassador Animal Guidelines, which allows the animals to meet the public for short periods of time for conservation and teaching efforts.
Cool Zoo is expecting the new Orlando attraction to open in September, hopefully for Labor Day Weekend 2023.
General admission will be $15 each (for people over the height of 24 inches), with one-on-one animal encounters ranging from $10 to $100 per person.
