Sad news from Walt Disney World, as it's been confirmed that to make way for the new Monsters Inc. land coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios, the park will be losing the popular MuppetVision 3D attraction to make way for the land.

Additionally, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will no longer star Aerosmith, with the rock band replaced by The Muppets!

Yes, the Muppets will be taking a super-stretch limo to their new attraction, the indoor limo-themed roller coaster on Sunset Boulevard. This will be the first-ever Disney Park ride to feature The Muppets.

Walt Disney World has released artwork for the new/re-themed attraction with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy teaming up with “some of music’s biggest stars” — Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem — “for a rockin’ music festival.”

The attraction poster features Dr. Teeth “driving” a super-stretch limo, with a “MUPP3TS” license plate.

Riding in the car is Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem —Floyd Pepper, Janice, Lips, Animal, and Zoot, together with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.

No further details for this re-theme has been shared, other then The Muppets will take over the Rock Around the Shop merchandise location currently attached to the coaster’s show building.

While no closure date has been announced for the re-theme to start but Disney has said that there will be ample time for guests to catch one last ride on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith before it closes forever.

Walt Disney World has also released updated artwork for the new Monsters Inc. land, showing the land taking over Muppets Courtyard and more, with the land featuring Disney’s first-ever suspended roller coaster recreating the door vault scene from the Monsters, Inc. movie, as well as new dining options, stores, and a new theater show.
