Miami-based Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream opens the coolest ice-cream spot in Lake Nona

Chill-N is a liquid nitrogen ice cream shop serving up fresh, made-to-order ice cream.

Miami-based Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream, a made-to-order nitrogen ice cream brand, has just opened the coolest ice-cream spot in Lake Nona, with residents now able to chill out with Chill-N ice cream!

Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream allows you to select what you want in your ice cream and it’s flash-frozen right in front of you.

The scoop shop founded by Danny Golik in Miami opened its first franchised Central Florida location in September at 1100 S. Orlando Ave., Winter Park, with franchisee Christopher Wirth also opening the new Lake Nona Chill-N location this past weekend.

The new Lake Nona location can be found at 13887 Narcoossee Rd, Suite 120, Lake Nona.

Here’s how Chill-N works: customers first choose a portion size, then an ice cream base, either cream, yogurt, tart yogurt, coconut milk, oat milk, or almond milk.

Next you’ll add a flavor ranging from classic Vanilla, Chocolate, or Strawberry to more adventurous flavors, including Nutella, Biscotti, OR Dulce de Leche – there’s an ice cream flavor for everyone, including a range of seasonal, limited-time flavors. Current offering include Red Velvet, Apple Pie, or Key Lime Pie.

Then the fun really begins with the addition of a huge choice of Mix-N’s: premium toppings including Chocolate Chips, Hot Fudge, Gummy Bears, Marshmallows, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fresh Berries, Hot Fudge, Bananas, Whipped Cream, Honey, Rainbow Sprinkles, and more!

Add as many as you want for the perfect nitrogen ice cream creation.

Your customized ice cream recipe is put into a bowl and mixed together and liquid nitrogen is added. The nitrogen flash freezes your perfect ice cream creation.

When liquid nitrogen sits at -320°F, it allows your chosen ice cream base to go from a liquid to a solid in about 45 seconds. Once the clouds of vapor clear, you have your creamy, super-fresh ice cream.

Since opening its first location in the Village of Pinecrest in Miami 10 years ago, Chill-N has developed a cult-like following and was voted Best Ice Cream in Miami by Miami New Times.

The brand now has over a dozen locations spread throughout Florida, Texas, and Tennessee.
