Metallica’s M72 World Tour ’25 ready to rock Tampa's Raymond James Stadium on June 6 and 8

For Whom The Bell Tolls, rock icons Metallica are bringing 2 massive nights of rock to Raymond James Stadium, Tampa.
Metallica are rolling into Tampa this week with their record-breaking M72 World Tour!
The tour now in its third year, kicked off in April, and will see the metal legends play 21 North American stadium shows through this month, June 2025, before heading to the UK, Australia, New Zaeland, and the Middle East.
The M72 World Tour’s 2025 itinerary continues the hallowed No Repeat Weekend tradition, with two shows per venue, with each night of the shows featuring entirely different setlists and support lineups.
The Tampa shows on June 6 and 8 at Raymond James Stadium will feature support from Limp Bizkit and and Ice Nine Kills on June 6, with the June 8 concert featuring Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies.

Metallica, a creative powerhouse lauded as one of rock’s preeminent bands, continues to break new ground with the dynamic, in-the-round production for the M72 World Tour.
Since opening in April 2023 in Amsterdam, M72 has seen Metallica play to some three million fans.
Throughout the tour, the band’s sound is immersing the entire audience — at full bandwidth across a broad stereo landscape — through a Meyer Sound system comprising a record 288 PANTHER large-format linear line array loudspeakers.
Maximizing fan engagement, the stage design for M72 is in the round, including an “O” shaped stage with multiple elevation changes for the band.
The “Snake Pit” was brought back in the M72 tour’s stage design, allowing roughly 1,000 Metallica fans to get up close and personal with the performers in the center of the stage. The Snake Pit has been a fan favorite feature of many Metallica tours dating back to the 1980-90s.
Variously hailed as “an altogether life-affirming experience” (Billboard), “impossible to leave unsatisfied” (Austin Chronicle), “a stone-cold stunner of a show” (Detroit News), “the mother of all summer concerts” (Worcester Telegram Gazette) and “as tight and furious as Metallica has sounded in ages” (Los Angeles Times), M72 continues to amaze fans and critics alike.
Eight ground-supported towers encircle the stage, soaring at 100’ in the air and provide video, lighting, and audio. Each tower features three video walls, which form a curved, cylindrical design.
Metallica’s latest album, 72 Seasons references the number of seasons an individual experiences in 18 years of life. This methodical detail, along with fresh setlists and musical guests, has translated into a theatrical feel.
And because the stage is in the round, it was crucial for fans to feel a certain proximity to the stage and naturally, the band. An attention to detail that keeps their devoted metal heads coming back each tour.
