Meet award-winning The Florida Project actress turned writer, Brooklynn Prince at 2 local comic book stores!

From award-winning Brooklynn Prince (The Florida Project, Cocaine Bear, Home Before Dark, Little Wing) comes her debut YA comic series Misfortune’s Eyes! Story by and written by Prince and co-authored and illustrated by Aliz Fernandez.

Award-winning and much loved Hollywood actress, Brooklynn Prince who was born in Winter Springs, first came to national attention with her heart warming and charismatic portrayal of Moonie in the comedy-drama film The Florida Project (2017), when she was just seven years old alongside her seasoned co-star Willem Dafoe.

This was a role that won here the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Young Actor/Actress, while Dafoe scored an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.


Prince has gone on to appear in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, The Angry Birds Movie 2 (both 2019), The Turning (2020), and Cocaine Bear (2023). From 2020 to 2021, she starred as Hilde Lisko in the Apple TV+ series Home Before Dark, which was inspired by the life of young journalist Hilde Lysiak.


Prince who is now a teenager, is currently starring alongside Succession's Brian Cox in the movie Little Wing, which premiered March 13 exclusively on Paramount+


Misfortune's Eyes is a limited four-part comic miniseries published by Massive Publishing.

At the same time as acting, in 2023, it was announced that Prince was publishing a comic book she co-wrote with Aliz Fernandez entitled Misfortune's Eye.

The comic is published by Massive Publishing, with the first double-sized issue released on March 20, featuring several different covers.


"A teen girl wakes up to discover she can see human auras. While embarking on a journey to find what her future may hold, she uncovers a hidden Psychic Town. There, she will soon learn about her mother's troubled past, her own curse of predicting death, and unearth the immense darkness coming for the town, and her own family."


Misfortune's Eyes is co-authored by Prince and Fernandez, who has also illustrated the comic.

To celebrate the release of the first issue, Brooklynn Prince will be making two local comics shop appearances where she will be signing the first issue of Misfortune's Eye on the day that the comic hits the shelves!


Prince will be at Acme Superstore at 905 E State Road 434, Longwood at 10 am, Wednesday, March 20, and then at 5 pm on the same day she will be at Blackbird Comics & Coffeehouse located at 500 E Horatio Ave STE 3, Maitland.

Admission is free, but obviously you have to purchase the comic, and you get to meet a Hollywood Star!
