Mayor Buddy Dyer Invites Everyone To This Year's Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration At Lake Eola

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer invites Central Florida residents and visitors to ring in the holiday season and help countdown to the annual lighting of the City of Orlando’s Christmas Tree at Lake Eola Park’s Washington Plaza this Friday, December 2, from 5 pm to 9 pm.

The free event will feature a ceremonial first lighting of Lake Eola Park’s 72-foot Christmas tree, plus holiday performances at the Walt Disney Amphitheater, food trucks and a holiday market, plus an opportunity to meet Santa until 9pm at the Eola House.

After the tree is officially lit, the Christmas Tree Show will play each night at Lake Eola Park starting at 5:45 p.m. each hour until 9:45 p.m.

This tree is adorned with 2,000 ornaments and 200 pounds in lights, with the lights musically in sync with the lights at the Lake Eola fountain, and will provide precise animation during the shows.
