When it comes to the hottest months of the year, you just gotta cool off, and one of the best free and cheap things to do in Orlando during the sizzling hot days of summer is to cool off in a splash pad!


Many parks in the area have either free or cheap splash pads, which are an awesome place to have lots of fun. Downey Park Splash Pad in East Orlando is a beautiful park that includes a splash playground, and an inclusive playground for kids with special abilities, Fort Mellon Splash Pad in Sanford is located at First Mellon Park and features a splash pad for anyone to come and cool off, and also has a a playground fit for all ages.


The City of Oviedo Splash Zone in Oviedo is located at the Oviedo Aquatic Center and features a huge outdoor splash zone. There is two splash pads in Winter Springs, The Splash Playgrounds are open each year from April through October and are located at Torcaso and Trotwood Parks.


In Orlando's Bithlo Community Park the kids will love Bithlo Splash Pad, and in Capehart Park, Orlando there is a splash pad, and a tot lot playground.


Another Orlando splash pad is located at Dr. P. Phillips Community Park, Orlando, while over in Kissimmee the kids will love the El Yunque Splash Pad featuring over 30 splash pad elements from bubblers to a 250-gallon dump bucket.

Located next to Camping World Stadium, Lake Lorna Doone Park has undergone a more than $8 million renovation thanks to a public private partnership between the City of Orlando, Florida Citrus Sports and the National Football League. The 12-acre park is now the Jewel of the West Side, a signature park in the City of Orlando where residents and visitors can enjoy soccer fields, basketball courts, fitness stations, art garden, playground, and yes, a splash pad!!

Barnett Park features trails, disc golf, playgrounds, fitness classes, basketball ad volleyball courts, and a great splash pad for the kids. The gated splash pad is free, with lots of seats and shade for the adults.

A beautiful park that includes pickleball, baseball and softball, sand volleyball, picnic pavilions, an inclusive playground for kids with special abilities, fitness area, off-leash dog park, and a sizable splash pad with lots of fun features that only costs $1 per session.

Dr. P. Phillips Community Park is a beautiful lakeside park providing range of amenities for the whole family to enjoy with sports fields, picnic areas, a dog run, playground and a free splash pad.

Bithlo Community Park has a new playground, little league ball fields, covered basketball court, community center, fishing area, skate park, and a splash pad.

Reiter Park is a community park comprising 6 acres on the northeast corner of Warren Avenue and Milwee Avenue in the central part of the City, immediately west of downtown. Reiter Park contains a multi-use amphitheater (2,400 SF), an event lawn, a playground with equipment, 5 picnic pavilions, a splash pad, two tennis courts, one basketball court, a sensory garden

The City Splash Pad at Kit Land Nelson Park includes Mega Soaker: Large bucket that drops 40 gallons of water at a time, Sneaky Soaker: Small splash buckets mounted on tall poles with a water shower head, Splash Blasters: Small Water Cannon, Fun-Guy: Mushroom-shaped sprayer for toddlers, Fun-Brella: Creates a curtain of water, and a Spray Tunnel: Sprays water from a series of ground spouts.
