LEGOLAND Florida’s Galacticoaster named No. 1 Best Theme Concept in 2026 Golden Ticket Awards

New LEGO® Galaxy land and its headline attraction earn top honors, with Galacticoaster recognized among the year’s best new attractions and coasters.

LEGOLAND® California Resort and LEGOLAND® Florida Resort are celebrating a standout year for innovation and guest experiences after earning top recognition in Amusement Today’s 2026 Golden Ticket Awards. Galacticoaster, the centerpiece of the Park's new LEGO® Galaxy, was named No. 1 Best Theme Concept, securing a major industry accolade for the new land, which is part of Merlin Entertainments’ largest single in-park investment in the history of its U.S. attractions.  

In addition to taking the top spot for Best Theme Concept, Galacticoaster was recognized as No. 4 Best New Attraction Installation of 2026 and No. 5 Best New Coaster of 2026, with LEGOLAND California Resort and LEGOLAND Florida Resort both represented in the Galacticoaster placements. LEGOLAND Florida Resort was also named No. 3 Best Family Park of 2026, further solidifying the strength of the LEGOLAND® brand across the U.S.

Opened in early 2026, LEGO Galaxy represents a major evolution for LEGOLAND California Resort and LEGOLAND Florida Resort, bringing guests into an imaginative intergalactic world where LEGO creativity meets space exploration. At the heart of the new land is Galacticoaster, a family-friendly coaster that puts guests in the role of space explorers on an out-of-this-world mission with a ride experience they can make uniquely their own. Before boarding, guests enter the Customization Bay to design a digital LEGO spacecraft from more than 625 possible combinations of noses, tails, wings and colors or special features. Saved to an RFID-enabled wristband, each custom spacecraft comes to life on digital screens throughout the ride. The addition of LEGO Galaxy and Galacticoaster has brought new energy to the Resort, expanding its attraction lineup and giving families another reason to explore and return to LEGOLAND Resorts.

The Golden Ticket Awards, presented annually by Amusement Today, recognizes the best of the amusement and theme park industry based on voting from industry professionals and enthusiasts. The 2026 awards celebrate excellence across attractions, parks, entertainment and guest experiences.
