California based Fatburger is opening its first Central Florida location this week!

Fatburger Celebration Florida

After a break of over 20 years, Fatburger is back!. As we first reported last May, California burger chain Fatburger has plans as big as its burgers for Florida with multiple locations set to open over the next several years, including 10 in Central Florida, and 4 in Tampa.

The first of these new Florida locations fired up the grill last June in Riverview, Tampa, and now it's Orlando's turn to savor "The Last Great Hamburger Stand" as the chain gets ready to open the doors to its first Central Florida location. The new store located at 1713 Future Way, Celebration will soft open on February 22, 2024 at 10 am, with a grand opening planned soon.

An announcement on Facebook is inviting everyone to Celebration to enjoy "The Ultimate Burger Experience. Dive Into The Burger That Made Us Famous - A 1/3 Lb. 100% Pure Lean Beef Patty, Grilled To Perfection And Served On A Toasted Sponge-Dough Bun. Customize Your Burger With "The Works" Or Choose Your Favorite Toppings. Don't Miss The Chance To Be Part Of History With The Last Great Hamburger Stand, Since 1952. It’s Still Good To Be Fat After 70 Years!"

With multiple Florida locations set to open, Jake Berchtold, COO of FAT Brands’ Fast Casual Division who own Fatburger together with other brans including Johnny Rockets, Twin Peaks and Fazoli’s commented, “We are heavily invested in growing the Fatburger brand in Florida,” then then continued, “Making our return to the state after two decades is incredibly rewarding."

The new Florida Fatburger locations in Orlando will be co-branded with another FAT Brands concept, Buffalo’s Express, giving guests the option of ordering bone-in or boneless wings with their burgers!

FAT Brands CEO Andy Wiederhorn commented, “We look forward to opening our doors in Orlando and welcoming locals and tourists alike to experience our juicy, custom-built burgers and award-winning wings.”

The new Fatburger location in Celebration is located at the new 16-acre Celebration Pointe which is at the World Drive interchange in Kissimmee, anchored by a 48,000-square-foot Publix.

New tenants at Celebration Pointe once complete will include Walgreens, AdventHealth CentraCare, Great Clips, UPS Store,  Slim Chickens, Jeff’s Bagel Run, and more.

The chain, known as the "Last Great Hamburger Stand," was founded by Lovie Yancey in Los Angeles in 1952, with Yancey believing in big burgers piled with all the usual favorite toppings as well as some unusual ones like bacon and eggs, chili and onion rings.

Ever since the first Fatburger opened in Los Angeles 70 years ago, the chain has been known for its delicious, grilled-to-perfection and cooked to order burgers.

And in addition to its famous burgers, the Fatburger menu also includes Fat and Skinny Fries, sweet potato fries, scratch-made onion rings, impossible burgers, turkey burgers, hand-breaded crispy chicken sandwiches, and hand-scooped milkshakes made from 100% real ice cream.
