Walt Disney World has already announced that the refurbished Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is officially reopening in a few days, on November 1, 2022.
Today, Sunday, October 30, the popular Table Service Restaurant opened the doors for a surprise soft opening two days early, with resort guests able to enjoy breakfast.
The restaurant is also expected to be open for lunch and dinner service,
Kona Cafe will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving American favorites, prepared with hints of the South Seas.
Open to the Great Ceremonial House, the casual café will serves breakfast offering items such as cinnamon and banana-stuffed Tonga Toast, a variety of savory egg dishes and macadamia-pineapple pancakes.
Lunchtime offering will include Dashi noodle bowl or crispy baked cheddar cheeseburger.
For dinner, selections will includes sushi rolls, poke bowls and chef-recommended dishes like the Kona-braised short rib.
