Everyone loves spooky season, and here in Orlando we have the biggest choice of events for everyone, and while there is lots of fun for the big kids with terrifying haunted houses and more, the little kids get lots of spooky fun just for them!

Halloween is a spook-tacular time to be Orlando, with many of the top scare events and attractions in the country, and while they are perfect for the adults, not so much for the little ones, so here we have brought together all the kid-friendly events thay the kids will love without getting scared.


We've compiled a list of all the family events that are taking place in Orlando to celebrate Halloween, and as we get closer to Halloween we'll keep adding all the latest things to do

2023 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Get ready for a spooktacular celebration with plenty of tricks and treats when this year's Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to Magic Kingdom on August 11, and runs through select nights to November 1, 2023.


Enjoy spellbinding entertainment including shows, a parade, fireworks, Disney characters dressed in their Halloween best, and so much more, and as the name suggests this is a not-so-scary event that perfect for families to enjoy.


This limited-capacity, nighttime event starts at 7 pm and allows guests to experience shorter wait times on attractions, themed food and beverage and more.


6 Halloween & Fall Must-Do’s at Walt Disney World

Thorughout Walt Disney World you will discover lots of fun activities for all the family.


Festive Fall Decor

Who doesn’t love a cozy-season selfie? Be sure to grab your favorite autumn attire and a pumpkin spice latte and get ready to strike a pose.


From Aug. 11 to Nov. 1, Main Street, U.S.A., at Magic Kingdom will be filled with pumpkins and scarecrows, and shops will be dressed with fall foliage and garlands, making it the perfect fall photo backdrop.


Haunted Happenings

At Disney Springs, you can listen to live music on the Waterside Stage from the Squad Ghoul each Friday through Sunday, Sept. 29 to Oct. 29.


At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, learn from a Disney animator how to draw a Disney villain, whether it’s Bruce from “Finding Nemo;” Kaa and Shere Khan from “The Jungle Book;” Tick-Tock from “Peter Pan;” or Scar from “The Lion King.” The villain animation line-up runs Oct. 1 to Oct. 31 and can be found at the Animation Experience at Conservation Station.


Minnie’s Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios offers a wickedly fun overlay this fall season that includes a chilling Halloween feast that’s frightfully delightful. Reservations for the festive experience are recommended and can be made on the Walt Disney World website!



Busch Gardens’ Spooktacular
Select Days, September 9 - October 31, 2023

At Busch Gardens’ Spooktacular, from September 9 to October 31, families canstep into a whimsical world full of enchantment with Kandy, a witch-in-training!


Every Saturday and Sunday, plus Monday Oct. 30 & Tuesday Oct. 31, this event takes place during regular park hours, and is included with park entry. Perfect for families, Busch Gardens’ Spooktacular will be casting magical spells, from 12 – 4 pm at the Festival Walkway.


A costume parade, story time and trick or treating are some of the activities guests will find in this immersive Halloween experience.

SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular is back for all the family to enjoy, with fun surprises, candy, costumes and more! Kids love trick-or-treating (with purchase of reusable bag) during this daytime event as they explore the decorated trail and meet colorful characters.


This year be sure to check out all their immersive kid-friendly Spooktacular Festivities and plan your visit this fall.


SeaWorld Spooktacular runs select days, Sept. 16 – Oct. 31, and is included with park admission.

Families will be screaming in excitement at LEGOLAND Florida Brick-or-Treat this year, with more candy, more LEGO characters and more spell-binding surprises than ever before.


This Halloween spectacular designed especially for kids will bewitch families with so many amazing experiences including V.I.M. Dance Party Hosted by Lord Vampyre, the new show The UnbeLEAFable Halloween Night and NEW 4D Movie: The Great Monster Chase.


Enjoy live shows, costume contests, meet and greets, spooky LEGO decorations and Monster mischief around every corner – all included with general park admission and select Annual Passes



 


HAUNTED ATTRACTIONS FOR KIDS


Mortem Manor at Old Town, Kissimmee

Year Round Attraction

Mortem Manor is a year round haunted attraction located at Old Town, Kissimmee, and while not suitable for little kids, the attraction suitable for children 13 and older.


Journey through Mortem Manor, two floors of an old victorian themed haunted attraction filled with scares, thrills and fun. Featuring live actors, animatronics and state-of-the-art special effects.


Haunting Nights Leu Gardens Creative City Project

This Halloween season once darkness arrives, there is a brand new nighttime experience to enjoy here in Orlando, as Creative City Arts presents Haunting Nights, an artful, exciting Halloween experience that will take place in the forests of Leu Gardens.


Guests to this new immersive Haunting Nights experience will be welcomed by a 10’ tall jack-o-lantern, before making your way past the bridge troll and into the forest of eyes.


You will then walk through a garden of sunflowers, journey through a neon-light maze, climb up a giant hay-pyramid, meet La Catrina in our Dia de Muertos world, and so much more.


Creative City Arts promises some jump-scares, but say it won't be too scary with the event recommended for guests 13 and up.


Happy Frights at Leu Gardens

Gather the entire family for a fun, family-friendly Halloween adventure throughout Orlando’s Leu Gardens featuring exciting immersive worlds, live characters, food and trick-or-treating.


Guests will meet a dancing bridge-troll, walk through a garden of sunflowers, explore a neon-light maze, climb up a giant hay-pyramid, celebrate Dia de Muertos and so much more – all while visiting nine trick-or-treat stations along the way.


This immersive haunted attraction is designed especially for families with children ages 4-12.

You might be surprised to see A Petrified Forest on a list of kid-friendly halloween event, but for one day only, this terrifying independent outdoor scare trail which is located in the Altamonte Springs host a kids day that is perfect for the whole family to enjoy!

Make-A-Wish Kid's Day offers family fun in the spooky sun for your little ones from 9 am - 12 pm.


The event includes a trick or treat trail, bounce house, costume parade, games, prizes & more. All proceeds go towards Make-A-Wish of Northern & Central FL

The much loved event which runs through Oct. 29, will feature live shows, interactive events, dance and costume parties, character experiences, spooky animal encounters, a themed scavenger hunt and escape room, and plenty of sweet treats.

Pirates Dinner Adventure is hosting “Vampirates: When the Blood Moon Rises”, a Halloween-themed dinner show suitable for ghouls and goblins of all ages.


As the Blood Moon casts an eerie glow over the high seas, the notorious Captain Sebastian the Black and his pirate crew of vampires are in search of the Sulzana’s Eye, a cursed necklace that will allow them to live in the daylight. And only you can stop them before the necklace falls into the wrong hands! Embark on a spooktacular journey filled with aerial artistry, swordplay, death-defying stunts and dynamic duels.


In addition to the themed show, guests can satisfy their sweet tooth on the Trick R Treat Trail and the whole family is encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes on select nights of the Vampirates show.

It’s Halloween! Duck, Pig, Cow, and Hen cannot wait to throw a Halloween party, complete with apple-bobbing, bottomless candy bowls, and a spook-tacular costume contest, against Farmer Brown’s wishes, as he is afraid of Halloween.


Join the barnyard crew as they use some clever trickery to show Farmer Brown that sometimes a little scare can be big fun!


A Halloween costume parade of children in costumes is a part of each weekend show.

Swamp Ghost’s Monster Museum returns with an all-new exhibit! Encounter specters, goblins, and more as you learn about the origins of everyone’s favorite haunted holiday!

Explore new haunt-zones like The Creepy Creature Carnival, where famous monsters moonlight as midway attractions! and the Frightful Frontier, an old west town populated with cursed cowboys! Plus, seek out hidden beasties like the Florida Skunk Ape, Moth Man, Chupacabra, and more!


All this plus interactive characters, animal meet-and-greets, a Children’s Halloween Costume Parade with treat bags for all kids who participate! There’s also fun shows, a variety of specialtyvendors, games, candy giveaways, and more!

The beloved Zoo Boo Bash is offering more Halloween festivities than ever this year with three weekends of costumes, an exciting trick-or-treat path and all your Zoo favorites.


This year’s party takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on select dates, Oct. 14-15, 21-22 and 28-29.


The family-friendly event will feature treat stations and other fun activities. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to dress their best and show off their costumes.

ICON Park is offering a long Halloweekend of fun! Starting Thursday, Oct 26 through Halloween on Tuesday, Oct. 31, the park will offer free and discounted tickets, a haunted holiday light show and spooky photo ops.

"Wheely” Big Fun for Costumed Kiddos

Bring your little princess, astronaut or cowboy out to ICON Park from Oct 26 to 31 for a FREE ride on the Carousel on the Promenade. Offer is valid for all costumed kids ages 12 and under.

Your costumed kiddo also will get the whole family 50 percent off tickets for, ICON Park’s signature attraction, The Wheel, so families can take in the views of Orlando together on their own private, air-conditioned capsule (up to five tickets.)


Haunted Holiday Light Show

Gather outdoors on The Lawn to be immersed in The Wheel’s popular annual light and fog show, as 64,000 LED lights dance 400 ft. in the air while fog drifts across the lawn at your feet. Shows will take place nightly, now through Tuesday, October 31st.

Sundays through Thursdays — 8:30 p.m.
