Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Closing Early for Refurbishment

Walt Disney World has announced that Kali River Rapid's annual refurbishment at Disney's Animal Kingdom will be impacted by the closure of DinoLand U.S.A.
Disney's Animal Kingdom’s popular water raft ride usually closes during the cooler winter months for its annual refurbishment, with Kali River Rapids last closing for refurbishment on January 8, 2024.
This winters refurbishment will be impacted thanks to the impending closure of DinoLand U.S.A., which includes DINOSAUR in February 2026.
To accommodate the closure of headline attraction, DINOSAUR in DinoLand U.S.A., Kali River Rapids will be closed from October 6, 2025, and is expected to reopen in December 2025, so that the theme park has as many attractions open before DINOSAUR permanently closes on February 2, 2026.
Kali River Rapids (originally named Tiger Rapids Run before opening) is a river rapids attraction in the Asia section at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
It is themed as a rafting expedition along the Chakranadi River, courtesy of "Kali Rapids Expeditions". In keeping with Disney's Animal Kingdom's message of conservation and environmental protection, this attraction deals with illegal logging and habitat destruction.
Manufactured by Intamin, the ride originally opened on March 18, 1999.
