Celebrate Easter at Central Florida Zoo with a treat trail, zoo-wide scavenger hunt, sing-alongs with Mr. Richard, photo ops with the Easter bunny, and more.
Spring has sprung and the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens in Sanford is ready to make your Easter Weekend egg-stra special!
Hop on over for the Zoo’s annual springtime celebration, Hippity Hop Adventure on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Starting at 9 am, the zoo willl be celebrating the season with a treat trail, plenty of family-friendly activities like a zoo-wide scavenger hunt, sing-alongs with Mr. Richard, extra keeper chats with the zoo's bunnies, and photo ops with the Easter bunny!
The party wraps up at 4 pm, but the Zoo will be staying open an extra hour until 5pm.
This egg-citing event features something for everyone including:
Photos with the Easter Bunny in the Discovery Courtyard
Entertainment from Mr. Richard
Zoo-wide scavenger hunt with prize
Treat Trail with themed activity stations around the Zoo
Crafts, kids activities, and face painting
DJ dance party on the splash pad
Keeper chats and animal experiences throughout the day
And of course, the main bunny himself, the Easter Bunny, will be hopping by to take photos with guests.
The fun doesn’t stop there—the zoo's animal residents will join in on the celebration too with Easter-themed enrichment items in their habitats.
New this year:
For an additional fee, kids can participate in an “Adopt an Animal” Vet Check Experience, bringing their favorite plush animal (or purchasing one from the gift shop) to receive a pretend check-up, build a mini habitat carrier, and take home an adoption certificate.
Guests can also support wildlife conservation with a donation, giving them the chance to draw one of five Golden Conservation Eggs with special prize baskets for the winners!
$5 – 2 eggs, $10 – 3 eggs, $15 – 5 eggs

10 AM | Keeper Chat – Cotton Top Tamarin
10 AM – 10:30 AM | Musical Sing-along with Mr. Richard at the Discovery Stage Courtyard
10:30 AM | Bunny Chat w/ Ozzy in the Wayne Densch Discovery Center
11:30 AM | Amazing Reptiles! Demonstration near the Herpetarium
12 PM – 12:30 PM | Musical Sing-along with Mr. Richardat the Discovery Stage Courtyard
12:30 PM | Springtime Plant Tour
1:30 PM | Keeper Chat – Florida Black Bear
2:00 PM | Keeper Chat – Front Aviary Birds
2:30 PM | Bunny Chat w/ Butterscotchin the Wayne Densch Discovery Center
