Perfect Florida weather, the river flowing serenely by and the smell of the grill wafting through the air. What could be better?

Attendees of the 12th annual Central Florida Fall EggFest will get to experience it all and more on Nov. 14 at Wekiva Island. The event runs from 9 am - 5 pm, rain or shine.

The “EggFest” is a celebration of all things related to the Big Green Egg grill. Egg lovers, known as eggheads, showcase their tips and tricks, and lucky attendees get to taste the results.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Proceeds for the event benefit Keep Seminole Beautiful and the Wekiva Wilderness Trust to keep the river and community clean.

Wekiva Island will be closed to all but ticketholders during that time.

Already an egghead? A few spots for cooks still remain. Register here.

Those who are already Big Green Egg curious or who are looking for the ultimate holiday gift can score great deals on the eggs used to cook during the event. These can be purchased in advance on the event’s website.

“Central Florida Fall EggFest is one of our favorite events of the year,” said Peter Weller, event organizer. “It’s fun to watch our cooks share what they’re passionate about, and it’s fun to watch new eggheads fall in love with the process. Plus, it’s fun to taste the creations.”

In addition to the samples, Ron Dimpflmaier will present and Scott Mayhew will perform live music throughout the day.

Sponsors include Carter’s Ace Hardware, Wekiva Island, Big Green Egg, Travel Country, Wayne Densch, Kick Ash Basket, Smoken Products, FOGO Charcoal, Smokeware, Flint & Flame, Sweet Water Brewing Company, Thermo Works, Flame Boss, Ceramic Grill Store, Fire & Smoke BBQ Company, Smithfield, TA Customs, VJ Publications, Tupperware, Prayer Knives, GASS and Tim’s Wine Market.
