Fun Spot America revealed back in April that wooden coaster Mine Blower, located at their Kissimmee park was receiving a 208 ReTrak by the one and only Rocky Mountain Construction.

Ever since then, Rocky Mountain Construction, the team behind such amazing fan-favorite coasters such as Steel Vengeance, Iron Gwazi, and Fun Spot Atlanta’s ArieForce One, have been busy upgrading traditional wood track sections with steel track, a process which improves the ride experience and dramatically reduces maintenance, and now, before the busy summer season and just in time for Fun Spot's 25th Anniversary celebration, Mine Blower is back better than before, and now open!

The 208 ReTrak steel track lasts up to 5 times longer than traditional wood coaster track and eliminates the need for continuous inspection, repair, and replacement of track sections. Additionally, 208 ReTraK is able to utilize a ride’s existing trains, mechanical system, and controls. This delivers a smoother ride, reduced downtime, and improved wheel longevity at a reasonable price.

208 ReTraK is manufactured with premium grade weathered steel to match the existing coaster profile and installs seamlessly to existing structure.

At the time of the announcement, John Are Jr., President and CEO, Fun Spot America commented, "The excitement is building in the roller coaster community over the retracking project that is currently underway. Working with RMC on our ArieForce One roller coaster at Fun Spot Atlanta in Fayetteville, Georgia, has been nothing short of incredible. Now, to work with RMC and their 208 ReTrack Solution on Mine Blower is a game changer for our park."

The RMC retrack has focused on the most dynamically loaded sections of the coaster's track in order to enhance the ride.

"We are very pleased for the opportunity to work with Fun Spot again and help bring thrills and smiles to their guests' faces," said Darren Torr, President and Owner, Rocky Mountain Construction.
