Tours feature architectural and historic information about some of downtown Orlando’s oldest and most historic buildings and start at 9:30 a.m. at Discover Downtown - the Downtown Orlando Info Center (201 S. Orange Avenue). Tours last approximately 1.5 hours.

The Old Town Classic Car Show has been a local tradition for over 30 years, it is one of the premier weekly car shows in Central Florida. The Saturday Classic Car Show begins at 1:00pm and welcomes show-quality 1985 and older hot rods, street rods, and antiques. Cars will cruise at 8:30pm and all cars registered can participate.


The Classic Car Show is free for participants and free for the public to attend. It’s the perfect outing for families of every generation, young and old, to enjoy.

Free Comic Book Day takes place this year on Saturday, May 6, 2023, with this year’s selection of comics includes beloved franchises such as Star Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Animal Crossing, Smurfs, and Street Fighter.

Car enthusiasts will enjoy the music of DJ Scotty B while admiring an amazing collection of classic to modern automobiles, with live bands performing on the Promenade Plaza Stage nightly.

Throughout the evening, find your favorite restaurants and shops at the Promenade at Sunset Walk.



A Day with the Florida Highwaymen

Join Orange County Regional History Center for this special FREE celebration of the Florida Highwaymen: the group of 26 African American artists who broke from the conventions of the Jim Crow South in the 1950s and ’60s to paint and sell their now-iconic landscapes of Florida. Three of the original Highwaymen – Curtis Arnett, Al Black, and Robert Lewis Jr. – are slated to participate, along with second-generation painters Robert Lewis III and Roy McLendon Jr. The day’s events also include a talk by Dr. Renee Mills about the life and work of her mother, the late Mary Ann Carroll, the only woman among the Highwaymen artists and the History Center’s honoree at its annual Women’s History Month Breakfast in 2022. Art from the History Center’s Highwaymen Kids program will also be on display, and visitors can participate in Florida Highwaymen-themed family activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, and guests can enjoy the History Center’s four floors of exhibits and Highwaymen selections from its own collections as well.
