In honor of Orlando’s 150th anniversary, the Orange County Regional History Center offers a glimpse into some of the most fascinating and rarely seen items from the city’s history with our newest special exhibition, Orlando Collected.
June 6 - January 6
Dawoud Bey’s Evergreen depicts haunting images captured at the Evergreen Plantation of Wallace, Louisiana. Installed across three video channels, the work scans the grounds of the most intact plantation complex still standing in the United States. The work captures swaths of trees and the remnants of living quarters of the historically enslaved Black people.

The exhibition includes 100 watercolors by FWS members selected by a distinguished juror, award-winning watercolor artist, Matthew Bird, whose work has been featured in major art magazines.

Jason Chin (American, born 1978) has written and illustrated award winning children’s books, including Redwoods, Grand Canyon, and Your Place in the Universe. His paintings in Watercress, alongside storytelling by Andrea Wang, garnered a 2022 Caldecott Medal. With a love for scientific wonders, he has illuminated the mysteries of coral reefs, redwood trees, the Galápagos Islands, gravity, and the elemental particles that make us who we are.

Experience Contemporary (Myth and Storytelling) is a group exhibition of paintings, sculptures, and printed materials, featuring four contemporary Florida artists, curated by Justin Luper. The exhibit is on display at Casselberry Arts Center.

At Harvest Holler located at 950 Tavares Rd., Polk City, experience a real working family farm with animals, activities, corn maze and of course a pumpkin patch. Harvest Holler is a place where you can explore nature, have adventures outside and unplugged. Relax and enjoy the slow-paced farm life: Sit on a hay bale, drink some true southern sweet tea or lemonade and relish the time with your family.

The Fall Pumpkin Patch is the perfect spot for family fun and time with friends. With every admission, guests will receive one free pumpkin to take home. Along the way, you can meet and snuggle our friendly farm animals, play in the corn box, climb up on our tractors, and race down the haywagon slides. Little artists will love leaving their mark in the chalk barn, and the always-popular bunny barn is waiting for visits and cuddles. Families can unwind on a tractor-pulled ride through shady trees, spread out under the wide-open skies, and even bring along a picnic to enjoy.
For even more farm fun, you’ll have the choice to feed the four-legged friends and saddle up for a classic pony ride.

In DRAGONS: Hidden Treasure Quest, each guest becomes a brave “seeker,” equipped with a special map filled with clues and legendary lore. Join Showcase of Citrus Pumpkin Ponderosa located at 5010 US-27, Clermont to pick your perfect pumpkin, take great family photos, and enjoy various activities! Burn off steam on the playground, take a hayride or even a haunted monster truck ride. The Magical Maze has thirteen scary monster pictures hidden throughout…find them all and win a prize! The giant culvert slide, barrel train rides, trike track, duck races and so much more are available in the Jolly Acres play area. Jack’s Barnyard petting zoo is the place to visit with all of their farm animal friends, and experience some of the animals up close in the animal encounter areas. Join Lake Catherine Blueberries at the farm for their fall festivities. The farm, located at 5849 Lake Catherine Rd, Groveland will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Parking and admission to the farm is complimentary. The Community United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch at 4921 S US Highway 17/92. Casselberry has been a CUMC tradition for over 25 years. During the month of October, thousands of people pass through their patch. Not only is the pumpkin patch a fundraising effort, but it also serves as an outreach for the community. Granny Pumpkin talks and sings with children's groups visiting our campus, sharing with them the story of salvation, while the children sit among the bales of hay and pumpkins.

Hagerty Farms Pumpkin Patch (not a farm!), located at Oviedo High School, 3225 Lockwood Blvd. Oviedo, you'll discover pumpkins, gourds, more pumpkins and all pumpkins, just pumpkins of all kinds! This is a great spot for seasonal family pictures too.

INK! is a rotating exhibition of the Contemporary American Graphics Collection featuring limited edition lithographs, etchings, etc at Orlando Museum of Art.

Before women’s soccer captured the world’s attention, the 17 athletes of the first U.S. Women’s National Team helped lay the foundation for the global success the sport enjoys today. Through striking portraits by acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Randy Bacon, The 85’ers captures the authenticity, strength, and tenacity of these groundbreaking athletes. This pocket exhibit also highlights the team’s meaningful connections to Central Florida. While the team’s popularity has grown nationwide, the athletes’ numerous ties to the local community make their achievements even more special for fans in the Orlando area.

Mick Farms Market is a working fruit and vegetable farm located at 4261 Canoe Creek Rd, St Cloud, they are open daily throughout the year, and during fall they celebrate pumpkin season with their own farm grown pumpkins. Every piece of produce is hanging on the vine, waiting to be picked including their plump and radiant pumpkins! On October 11 and 12, Mick Farms Market will celebrate Hometown Harvest, a 2 day event with live band, pie eating contests, vendors, food trucks, and more.
