In honor of Orlando’s 150th anniversary, the Orange County Regional History Center offers a glimpse into some of the most fascinating and rarely seen items from the city’s history with our newest special exhibition, Orlando Collected.

Twinkling lights, themed trees, and timeless holiday charm — “A Dickens Christmas: The Urban Family’s Holiday Exhibition” is back at the Appleton Museum of Art, Ocala. Visitors can enjoy beautifully decorated themed trees, the ever-popular Dickens Village miniature, an extensive nutcracker collection, handmade Santas from around the world, and much more.
June 6 - January 6
Dawoud Bey’s Evergreen depicts haunting images captured at the Evergreen Plantation of Wallace, Louisiana. Installed across three video channels, the work scans the grounds of the most intact plantation complex still standing in the United States. The work captures swaths of trees and the remnants of living quarters of the historically enslaved Black people.

November 8 - January 6
Celebrate the magic of the holiday season at Orlando Science Center with a dino twist. Gaze upon Stan the T. rex and his fossil friends in a festive light show set to holiday music. Don't forget the wintery surprise at the end!

Gear up and strap in because math is about to go off the rails at Orlando Science Center! In 2TheXtreme!, the only limit is you, so let’s see how far you can go. In this interactive traveling exhibit, guests will go head-to-head in sports, set the stage for creativity, design the unthinkable, and explore worlds far beyond their own backyard, all while using the power of mathematics!

The exhibition includes 100 watercolors by FWS members selected by a distinguished juror, award-winning watercolor artist, Matthew Bird, whose work has been featured in major art magazines.

Jason Chin (American, born 1978) has written and illustrated award winning children’s books, including Redwoods, Grand Canyon, and Your Place in the Universe. His paintings in Watercress, alongside storytelling by Andrea Wang, garnered a 2022 Caldecott Medal. With a love for scientific wonders, he has illuminated the mysteries of coral reefs, redwood trees, the Galápagos Islands, gravity, and the elemental particles that make us who we are.

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Theatre South Playhouse presents Annie.

For nearly four decades, the Council of 101’s Festival of Trees has marked the start of the holiday season in Orlando. The tradition returns to the Orlando Museum of Art, Nov. 15–23, with its 39th annual celebration themed “A Season of Celebration.” Guests will be surrounded by dazzling displays including more than 50 designer-decorated trees, festive wreaths, gingerbread creations, holiday vignettes, and tabletop displays. Visitors can shop in the Holiday Boutique, stroll Santa Claus Lane, enjoy live entertainment scheduled daily, and dine in the Festival Café. On weekends, Santa Claus will be on hand for photos and meet-and-greets from 10 am - 5 pm. New events include creative holiday workshops and Holiday Home Tour.

Experience Contemporary (Myth and Storytelling) is a group exhibition of paintings, sculptures, and printed materials, featuring four contemporary Florida artists, curated by Justin Luper. The exhibit is on display at Casselberry Arts Center.

At Harvest Holler located at 950 Tavares Rd., Polk City, experience a real working family farm with animals, activities, corn maze and of course a pumpkin patch. Harvest Holler is a place where you can explore nature, have adventures outside and unplugged. The Space Coast State Fair is Brevard’s largest and most popular annual family event. The event features 40 acres of fun with 100 state fair rides, games, food stands, free shows and much more.

A professor at Rollins has invited the show to campus — not to the newly-built Annie Russell Theatre, but to the Rec Hall. While evidence remains of the event — a program, letters, a breathless review in the student paper — much is undiscovered. Until now. Let the People Sing, the result of a year of research by current Rollins student playwrights, invites audiences to reckon with our shared history and hear Hurston’s voice ring out, finally, from the stage of the Annie Russell.
