July 24 - January 3

Explore the history and enduring legacy of colonialism in the Caribbean through The House That Freedoms Built, an outdoor installation by artist La Vaughn Belle on the Rollins College campus. Featuring three white, pitched-roof structures inspired by 18th-century homes built by formerly enslaved people of St. Croix, the work invites reflection on how ideas of home, belonging, and freedom are constructed. As the first in a series of installations leading to the opening of the Rollins Museum of Art’s new facility, it engages viewers in a thoughtful dialogue about identity, community, and the spaces we inhabit.


Cosmic Concerts – Laser Light Shows at Orlando Science Center

September 12 - December 12, Second Saturday Of Every Month

Orlando Science Center has announced the return of Cosmic Concerts! This limited time special event will premiere three laser light shows on the second Saturday of every month, beginning September 12 and running until December 12. Tickets to each laser light show are sold separately and are available for purchase online while quantities last. Seating is limited so these timed tickets guarantee your spot. Cosmic Concerts, a perennial favorite at OSC from late 70’s to the early 90’s, is officially back for a limited time! If you couldn’t get enough laser light shows over the summer, check out the Cosmic Concerts schedule below to plan your next laser light show experience.

Presented by Casselberry Arts, the annual Experience Contemporary 2026 exhibition, A Wrench in the Gears, features five Florida artists: Justin Quaid Grubb, Cynthia Mason, Noelle Mason, Hilary White, and Matthew Wicks. Their work will be on display at the Casselberry Arts Center.

In the decades following the Second World War, artists continued developing new stylistic vocabularies, sustaining the Abstract Expressionist movement amid the rise and influence of Minimalism, Conceptualism, and Pop Art. In Color Fields and Inspirations at Orlando Museum of Art, works by acclaimed artists of the 1960s and 1970s invite an ongoing conversation that embraces intuition, experimentation, and reflection on materiality.


June 18 - November 8

Represent: Contemporary Figuration and Portraiture from the Collection presents a selection of some of the most compelling and diverse portraits among the Orlando Museum of Art collection, featuring the recent acquisition of a Kandy G Lopez textile, Hispaniola II – Mia (2024) and the gift of David LaChapelle photograph The Annunciation , Hawaii (2019).


June 30 - November 8

USA 250: 250 Years on the Road to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness is an exhibition presented across two galleries at OMA. Drawing from the Collection of the Orlando Museum of Art, it is envisioned as a road trip across the United States, trailing significant historical points of view where artists have recognized, responded to, or documented changing human experiences. The earliest painting presented hails from the late 19th-century Hudson River School and is displayed alongside works across media that extend into our contemporary era.


Nosferatu: The Citadel at Renaissance Theatre Company

August 28 - November 7, Select Dates

The Ren's annual spooky season production is back for 2026, with Nosferatu: The Citadel! You'll see the full Nosferatu experience at 8 pm, and end the night in VBar beginning at 10 pm. You'll be moving from space to space in the Citadel, seeing different stories unfold. Nosferatu is an immersive experience. Vampires will be moving all around you!


March 7 - November 3

In 2026, Harry P. Leu Gardens proudly marks its 65th anniversary with a celebration titled Legacy in Bloom—a vibrant tribute to the enduring beauty, growth, and impact of this beloved public garden. Over the course of the year, visitors will experience a dynamic calendar of events, programs, exhibits, and installations that honor the Gardens’ rich past, thriving present, and bold future.


August 1 - October 4

Quilts are histories. They comfort, conform, reveal, and challenge. Histories in Thread: Honoring Heirlooms in Contemporary Quilting at the History Center brings together seven nationally and internationally recognized textile artists whose work explores creativity, culture, identity, and family history. Using fabric as both medium and storyteller, the artists demonstrate how quilting traditions can preserve the past, speak to the present, and help shape the future. The exhibition features techniques including piecing, embroidery, and origami-inspired folding techniques that create three-dimensional forms. Several works incorporate adinkra – symbols developed by the Akan people of present-day Ghana to express proverbs, values, and beliefs.


Dinosaur Dance Party at Orlando Family Stage

Get ready to stomp, sway, and roar at Dinosaur Dance Party, a joyful 30-minute celebration of dinosaurs, music, movement, and imaginative play. Little ones and their grown-ups will sing, dance, clap, and explore together in a playful adventure inspired by everyone’s favorite prehistoric friends. After all, everyone knows dinosaurs love to dance!


August 28 - September 13, Select Dates

Experience the hilarity and brilliance of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)," a fast-paced, comedic romp through the Bard's most famous plays, brought to life by the talented Reduced Shakespeare Company on stage at Theater West End in Sanford.. This unique production condenses all 37 of Shakespeare's works into a whirlwind performance that is both entertaining and educational, making it perfect for Shakespeare enthusiasts and newcomers alike.


August 14 - September 30

The table is set for Orlando's foodie event of the year, with Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining, returning to the city from August 14 - September 30, 2026, celebrating 21 years of flavor and impact. Savor three-course, prix-fixe dinners at an unprecedented 180+ Orlando-area restaurants for just $40 or $60 per person, plus tax and gratuity, with participating venues exclusively offering $40 or $60 menus.


August 26 – September 27, Select Dates

Discover life as an islander with the story of the 38 planes that were diverted to Gander on September 11, 2001. This Tony Award-winning musical shares the remarkable true story of 7,000 airline passengers grounded in the wake of 9/11 and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Told with music, humor, and heart, it highlights the relationships formed when spirited locals and global passengers come together to embrace empathy, generosity, and shared humanity. Orlando Fringe is once again hosting Orlando Out Fest this September.  Orlando Out Fest is a celebration of Queer Theatre, Art, Music and Cinema, presented by Orlando Fringe and curated by George Wallace, Executive Director of The Center Orlando. Orlando Fringe is partnering with The Center Orlando, The Renaissance Theatre Company and the Starlight Room at Savoy to host 21 shows and events. Centralized in Ivanhoe Village and Mills50 neighborhoods, the weekend festival will take the stage on Thursday, September 10 through Sunday, September 13 with a free opening party on Wednesday, September 9. 


September 10 - 13

Red, White & Remembrance Weekend is coming to Boxi Park September 10–13. This September 11th, we pause to remember the lives lost and honor the first responders, service members, and families we’ll never forget. From there, the weekend continues with lawn games, face painting, and patriotic photo ops on Saturday, plus live entertainment, great food, and cold drinks straight through Sunday.


September 11

On Friday, September 11, 2026, the Orlando Fire Department will hold its annual September 11 Candlelight Remembrance Ceremony to recognize and honor the 404 first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice 25 years ago. As part of the ceremony, OFD firefighters will pay tribute and memorialize New York City Fire Department Firefighters including Michael J. Arriaga, the crew at FDNY Firehouse 10, and the numerous first responders who lost their lives since due to exposure of toxic chemicals and debris. The speakers will also discuss the lasting impact September 11 has had on the fire service at Fire Station 1. Fire personnel will light 404 candles to commemorate all the first responders who perished that day; 343 red candles to honor the firefighters, 60 blue candles to honor the law enforcement officers, New York Police Department and Port Authority and one white candle for FDNY Chaplain Fr. Mychal Judge. Twenty-five fire hats will be laid to commemorate the each year since the attack.

The Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) will host a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, in the first-floor canteen lobby of the Orlando VA Medical Center located at 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The ceremony will honor and remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day, recognize the courage and sacrifice of first responders, and pay tribute to the service members and Veterans who answered the nation's call in the years that followed. The keynote speaker will be Steve Dailey, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former New York City Police Department officer. Dailey enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1984 and joined the NYPD in 1992, where he served as an undercover officer in the Organized Crime Control Bureau. At the ceremony, he will share a first-hand account of his role in recovery efforts on the day the Twin Towers fell. The ceremony is open to Veterans, their families, VA employees, and members of the community.

25 years later, we climb in their honor. Join the Lake Nona community on Friday, September 11 for the 9/11 Stair Climb, a tribute to the firefighters and first responders who answered the call. Whether you’re climbing for the first time or returning again this year, every step matters. In recognition of the 25th anniversary, participants will climb 110 flights of stairs through 22 laps of the parking garage route, totaling approximately 3.2 miles, to honor their bravery, sacrifice and legacy.

As the nation marks the 25th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001, The Bach Festival Choir, in partnership with Rollins College and the City of Winter Park, will present “A 25th Anniversary Remembrance” on Friday, Sept. 11, at 6 pm in Knowles Memorial Chapel on the Rollins College campus. The community event will feature remarks from Brooke Barnett, president of Rollins College, and Sheila DeCiccio, mayor of Winter Park will be in attendance. The Winter Park Police Department Honor Guard will also participate in the ceremony. Billy Collins, former U.S. Poet Laureate, will read his poem “The Names,” commissioned for a joint session of Congress in September 2002 as a tribute to those who lost their lives. The program will conclude with a performance of Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem by the Rollins College Choir, Bach Festival Choir, and Bach Festival Orchestra. The public is invited to attend.

25 Years Later, We Remember Together Join the City of Clermont as our community gathers to honor the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Together with Clermont Fire, Clermont Police and Parks & Recreation, we will remember those we lost, honor those who served and hear the powerful stories of members of our own community who were directly involved in and forever impacted by that day. This free community remembrance is open to all. Light refreshments will be provided by the Guy Fieri Foundation.

On Friday, September 11, 2026, at 8:30 am, in front of Apopka City Hall, the Apopka Fire and Police Departments will host a Memorial Service to remember those who lost their lives on 9/11. The flag will be lowered to half-staff as the city remembers 9/11/2001.

Join Seminole County, the Sanford Police Department, Sanford Fire Department, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, and Seminole County Fire Department to pay tribute to the lives lost and the incredible heroism shown on September 11, 2001. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of Patriot Day. The Sanford and Seminole County community is invited to join local first responders and leaders at Veterans Memorial Park for a solemn morning of reflection, honor, and unity.

Red, White & Remembrance Weekend is coming to Boxi Park September 10–13. This September 11th, we pause to remember the lives lost and honor the first responders, service members, and families we’ll never forget. From there, the weekend continues with lawn games, face painting, and patriotic photo ops on Saturday, plus live entertainment, great food, and cold drinks straight through Sunday.

In honor of this special occasion, the museum will offer free admission on Sunday, September 13. Enjoy an afternoon of crafts, music, snacks, and storytelling while discovering the rich cultural traditions that influenced Albin Polasek’s life and artistic legacy.
