Community engagement efforts have provided more than 66,700 tickets to community members since 2014.

his summer, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has kicked off its 2026–27 Community Giveback season, continuing its vision of Arts For Every Life® and making meaningful arts experiences accessible to everyone in Central Florida. Since 2014, the arts center's community engagement efforts have provided more than 66,700 tickets to students, teachers, veterans, first responders and other community members.
On July 31,100 adults from CareerSource Central Florida, Dress for Success, Goodwill Industries and Heart of Florida United Way were invited to experience Into the Woods, a Dr. Phillips Center produced production, featuring an entirely local creative team and cast, starring Broadway performer and Orlando arts icon Jodi Benson. Earlier this month, first responders from Orange County Sherriff’s Office were invited to attend Rick Ross- Port of Miami inside Walt Disney Theater.
“Community Giveback is about more than providing access to performances—it’s about creating opportunities for people to experience the arts and feel connected to their community,” said Rachel Moalli, Senior Director of Corporate Affairs and Community Engagement at Dr. Phillips Center. “Last season, we invited over 3,200 guests through community giveback. This season, we’re building on that momentum by expanding the program and inviting even more people to share meaningful arts experiences.”
Throughout the year, Dr. Phillips Center works with generous donors and partners to provide cultural experiences for audiences throughout Central Florida. This season, Community Giveback guests will have the opportunity to enjoy Broadway productions, locally produced performances, Arts & Wellness programs, Broadway Masterclasses and other educational experiences.
The Rick Ross- Port of Miami and Into the Woods Community Givebacks were made possible by generous support from PepsiCo.
Into the Woods production is supported by Experience Kissimmee and the Safer Family.
