A 24-hour, Disney multi-platform broadcast, “Disney Celebrates America,” highlighting America’s 250th Anniversary will culminate with a special fireworks broadcast from Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

Disney is going all in on celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary in 2026, announcing that its U.S. theme park resorts, Walt Disney World, and Disneyland will be hosting special celebrations including fireworks and a new Soarin' - Soarin' Across America.


Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California will be joining a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary with a new initiative called “Disney Celebrating America.”


Kicking off on Veterans Day 2025 and continuing through the July 4, 2026, weekend, this celebration is expected to bring special decor, food, merch and more to Disney's U.S. theme park resorts, with the first celebrations confirmed, with more announcements expected soon.

As we have already reported, Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will celebrate the 250th with the Summer 2026 opening of Soarin’ Across America, an immersive flight experience aboard the beloved Soarin’ attractions at EPCOT and Disney California Adventure Park.

Soarin’ Across America will take guests on a breathtaking journey, highlighting some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes.


In addition to Soarin’ Across America, expanded 4th of July fireworks will play across all three nights of the holiday weekend at both Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland.

The expanded fireworks are part of an ambition 24-hour, multi-platform broadcast on July 4th, with “Disney Celebrates America,” highlighting America’s 250th anniversary events nationwide across Disney’s linear networks and steaming platforms, including Disney+, Hulu, ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN, Freeform, FX and National Geographic, ending with a special evening fireworks broadcast from Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.


Expanding beyond Independence Day, the beloved fireworks show “Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky,” will play across all three nights of the holiday weekend, July 3 – 5, at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom Park.

Also announced, Disney will debut an array of Americana merchandise, including select items commemorating America’s milestone anniversary in May 2026.


The new merchandise will be available for purchase at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and DisneyStore.com.


It's expected that Disney will expand America’s 250th Anniversary celebrations to all its theme parks across Walt Disney World, with more details expected soon.
