Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Opening Date Revealed together wth a first look at the rooms!

Walt Disney World is currently constructing Disney Lakeshore Lodge, a new resort on Bay Lake, on the former site of River Country, between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge.

Disney had already revealed that Disney's Lakeshore Lodge is set to open at Walt Disney World in 2027, and now we know the exact date that the new resort, including three restaurants, a Pocahontas-themed lobby, and a stunning fireworks lounge will open!


Disney's Lakeshore Lodge is officially opening July 1, 2027, with booking for the new resort opening soon at Walt Disney World Resort! Disney Vacation Club members can book a stay first on October 6. Passholders, then have an exclusive early booking window opening on October 7, followed by general booking on October 8.

In addition to revealed the opening date, Disney has shared a first look at some of the rooms at this all-new Disney Resorts Collection hotel.


The new Lakeshore Lodge will feature 967 thoughtfully designed rooms, and will offer guests a variety of ways to stay, from cozy studios to spacious suites. Many rooms will offer peaceful views of Bay Lake by day and spectacular views of Magic Kingdom park fireworks by night. The resort will also debut with new one and two bedroom Lake Houses along the waterfront, offering families an even closer connection to nature with ample space to relax and unwind.


Inspired by Walt Disney’s lifelong admiration for the great outdoors, the resort’s design will pay tribute to decades of animated stories rooted in nature, with subtle nods to classic films - from the lush forests of Bambi and the colorful winds of Pocahontas to the sweeping glacial landscapes of Brother Bear."


Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Rooms


Brother Bear Lake House

The Lake House is inspired by Disney's Brother Bear. The room shown is within the Waterfront Lake House and features floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious rooms, and a waterfront view.


The lake house features a private porch, full kitchen, washer and dryer, and can sleep five to eight guests.



Bambi Villas and Studios

The Bambi Villas offer one and two-bedroom villas inspired by Disney's Bambi. The villa comes with a kitchen, washer and dryer, and a spacious living and dining area. sleeping four guests and feature one bed and a sofa bed.



The Bambi Studios sleep four guests and feature one bed and a sofa bed.



Pocahontas Suites and Studios

The Hidden Willow presidential suite at Lakeshore Lodge is inspired by Disney's Pocahontas. The suite can sleep six guests and features two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, plus a washer and dryer.


There is also a resort studio available that is inspired by Disney's Pocahontas. The resort studios and resort studio king sleep two guests.



Encanto Studios

The Encanto Studios are inspired by Disney's Encanto.



Fantasia Villas

The Fantasia Villas are a large three-bedroom grand villa, which is inspired by Disney's Fantasia. It can sleep up to 12 guests and has multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a private patio.



Artist’s Nest Club

Disney has also shared a first look at the Artist’s Nest Club concierge lounge at Lakeshore Lodge. Guests staying in select club-level resort rooms will have access to the lounge. This exclusive lounge will offer exclusive views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks


The new Lakeshore Lodge borrows heavily (at least on the outside) from Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, the original resort that was scheduled to to built on the same spot. Announced back in 2018, ground clearing did begin for Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, but was halted, and eventually cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Your Lakeshore Lodge Arrival

When guests arrive at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, they’ll step into the lobby and become immersed in the sights and sounds of nature. Spectacular floor‑to‑ceiling windows will welcome natural sunlight and showcase sweeping views of The Wetlands outdoor recreation area, allowing the local flora and fauna to flow seamlessly into the architecture, artwork, and ambiance.


Drawing inspiration from the music and storytelling of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Pocahontas, a shimmering fiberoptic river will illuminate the floor, while overhead, a blown glass Colors of the Wind sculpture with hundreds of suspended glass leaves will fill the space with movement, color, and wonder.


Natural materials will be incorporated throughout the lobby design, with custom tapestries inspired by the film’s landscapes and thoughtfully crafted furnishings with accents of river-recovered cypress wood.


Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will debut with three distinctive dining experiences for guests to enjoy throughout their stay. From convenient, grab-and-go favorites to memorable waterfront dining, each location is thoughtfully designed to highlight the resort’s connection to the natural beauty of Bay Lake.

Moonglade

Along the lakefront, Moonglade will offer an enchanting table-service dining experience where stunning water views are part of every course. Here, guests will enjoy thoughtfully prepared dishes featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

Floor-to-ceiling windows will frame the gracefully arching cypress trees along Bay Lake where artful lighting and nuanced design reflect the interplay of light and shadow.



Bay Lake Provisions

Bay Lake Provisions will be the perfect spot to fuel up for a day of adventure or relax and refresh after a poolside afternoon. This all-day, quick-service marketplace will offer specialty coffees and fresh fare in an inviting open-kitchen atmosphere.


And because no space is complete without a little hidden magic, guests can find woodland critters inspired by beloved Disney classics throughout the space.



Paint Out Point Bar & Grill

When all the fun in the sun works up an appetite, head to Paint Out Point Bar & Grill near Lakeshore Lagoon.


Enjoy shareable bites and specialty beverages while soaking in the natural beauty that surrounds The Wetlands. Inspired by the art of plein-air painting, this pool bar will showcase a collection of original artwork created by Imagineers as they drew inspiration from the Bay Lake landscapes.

Dandelion Terrace

After the sun sets, guests can gather in Dandelion Terrace to see Magic Kingdom Park fireworks lighting up the sky over the waters of Bay Lake.


The lounge will be home to a two-story gallery of archival artwork from Disney classics like Fantasia, complete with whimsical dandelion light fixtures that add a touch of magic to the space. Soft lighting and sweeping views create the perfect setting to slow down and enjoy the nighttime spectacular.

The Wetlands

When Disney Lakeshore Lodge opens at Walt Disney World, guests will be invited to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature at The Wetlands, a sweeping outdoor recreation area just beyond the lobby that’s surrounded by the beauty of Bay Lake.


The Wetlands will be thoughtfully designed with both fun and relaxation in mind. Younger guests will become part of nature’s story through whimsical wet and dry play areas inspired by the music and storytelling of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Pocahontas. Drawing from the lyrics “the heron and the otter are my friends” from the beloved song “Colors of the Wind,” these vibrant spaces will celebrate the playful connections found in nature.


First Look at The Wetlands at Disney Lakeshore Lodge

Heron Shores will welcome exploration and hands‑on play with imaginative climbing features, while just around the riverbend, Otter Springs will come to life with interactive water features where little ones can cool off as they splash and slide. Nearby, the lazy Daydream River will invite guests to sit back and relax as the current carries them through the recreation area, offering a leisurely way to take in views of the surrounding landscape.

At the heart of The Wetlands will be Lakeside Lagoon, the resort’s zero‑entry feature pool where guests of all ages can come together under the Florida sun, complete with a spiral waterslide that leads into the refreshing water.


Tucked away on the opposite side of the resort, Perspective Pond will be home to a leisure pool and whirlpool spa, perfectly positioned for views of Magic Kingdom fireworks in the evenings.ther you choose to start your morning with a peaceful float along the Daydream River or end your day watching the sun set over Bay Lake, each area of The Wetlands will offer a distinct connection to nature, balancing breathtaking beauty and tranquility with moments of discovery and play.


As guests make their way along a scenic path through the recreation area, they’ll uncover fun facts about the local flora and fauna that surrounds them. Keep an eye out for a special plaque that honors a beloved historic attraction that once stood on this very spot!
