A California hot dog institution, Cupid's which had an Orlando outpost on Lee Road is now closed, with the franchisee hoping to open in Seminole County.
Cupid's Hot Dogs opened its first and only location outside of California in March 2023 at 1515 Lee Road, Orlando in March 2022.
Cupid’s which runs three locations in California, first opened in San Fernando Valley in 1946 and has stayed largely the same since then, with the brand run by Kelly Walsh, who co-owns the business with her sister, the third generation of their family to run Cupid’s Hot Dogs.
The brand was brought to the east coast by franchisee, Sorot Boyd Chamlongsupalak, who at the time of opening the Lee Road location had plans to open several area locations.
With no other locations open, Chamlongsupalak has made the decision to close the Lee Road location, with plans to reopen in Casselberry.
The Lee Road location closed on Thursday, November 21, and has now been fully taken over by Red Panda Noodle, who began sharing the space with Cupid's last year.
