Chicago Based Sandwich Chain Potbelly Sandwich Shop Plan To Open Six Locations In Orlando

A popular Chicago fast-casual restaurant chain that focuses on subs and milkshakes has announced that it's going to be opening locations in Orlando for the very first time.


On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Potbelly announced that it has signed a multi-unit development deal to bring six new locations to Orlando over the next several years.

These new locations will be franchises run by Shari Nasir and Imran Malik of Sugarland Investment Group, LLC.


“We are longtime fans and supporters of Potbelly, and we look forward to playing an active role in its growth and expansion,” Nasir said in a statement. “We are truly passionate about the brand, its high quality and delicious food and are extremely excited to bring Potbelly into our backyard!”

Potbelly was established in 1977 in Chicago as a neighborhood sandwich concept serving toasted sandwiches, salads, hand-dipped shakes, and other menu items. Since then, the company has expanded to 400 company-owned shops and over 40 franchise-managed shops in the United States.
