Yelp has officially named their Top 100 Places to Eat in 2024 and 13 Florida restaurants make the cut, with one in Orlando making the Top 50.

This year, the food-loving Yelp community has reviewed and rated their fave restaurants from coast to coast, and with a place for every taste in 2024, Yelp has revealed their 11th Annual Top 100 US Restaurants in 2024.


Yelpers have chosen both new discoveries and longtime favorites, and whether you have a craving for umami-rich burgers, bulgogi pasta, snickerdoodle pancake, or you're simply looking for the best fried chicken, chopped brisket sammies, or creamy hummus in the US, there is a restaurant for everyone's tastes on the list.


Here in Florida a total of 13 restaurants have made the list, although only 1 Orlando eatery made the list, down from 3 in the 2023 list.

Last year Selam Ethiopian and Eritrean Cuisine, Kadence, and Hungry Pants all made the top 50 on the list with Selam Ethiopian and Eritrean Cuisine coming in at number 9, Kadence came in at number 30, and Hungry Pants came in at number 42.


So which Orlando restaurant made the 2024 list? Edoboy located at 728 N. Thornton Ave came in at number 44.


This tiny sushi hot spot is described as a bit quirky: They offer just 48 reservations for dinner each night, with reservation opening Monday at noon for the week ahead.


Snag a slot, and you’ll be granted a mere hour to enjoy up to 12 pieces of sushi, max. And there’s not a chair on the premises. Yet Yelpers can’t get enough of this standing-only sushi restaurant, which landed a Michelin Guide listing after only a year in business. 


Owner Sean “Sonny” Nguyen modeled EDOBOY after a standing restaurant in Japan that he and his wife visit when they’re in the country. “As a restaurateur in central Florida, I wanted to bring back that [authentic Japanese experience] to my hometown,” Sonny says.


Yelper Paige G. confirms that the experience is “nothing short of extraordinary.” Your EDOBOY chef will be within arm’s reach at the sushi bar (where you’ll stand), crafting “the freshest of the freshest” hand rolls, nigiri, and Aburi Sushi (aka torched nigiri). 


Craft your own menu or go for one of the preset tasting experiences with 6–8 pieces of sushi (there’s an Everyday Set or a Baller Set that includes caviar and 24K-gold frills). Whatever you order, add on a Matcha S’more for dessert, with house-made matcha chocolate and matcha marshmallow, toasted in front of your eyes.

In total 13 Florida restaurants made the top 100, so which restaurants made the list, and where did they rank?


Fratellino Ristorante, an upscale Miami restaurant, came out as top restaurant in Florida, ranking numer 5. The next highest ranked is Mio’s Grill & Cafe, a Mediterranean restaurant in downtown St. Petersburg ranked No. 12, with Amy’s French Bakery & Bistro in Pompano Beac ranked No. 34.
