Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens and SunRail bring back 'Choo-Choo to the Zoo' for Spring Break fun!

As spring break approaches, the WILDY popular Choo Choo to the Zoo returns to Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens and you have an extra hour to explore the zoo!

All aboard! SunRail and the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens are offering families a fun way to visit the zoo this spring break.

Choo-Choo to the Zoo will run Friday, March 15 and then again, March 18 through March 22. 

Visitors can ride SunRail to the Sanford station, and then hop on a free “Choo-Choo to the Zoo” themed shuttle which will transport them to the front gate of the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens in less than 15 minutes. 

Return shuttle times are timed with scheduled SunRail departures from the Sanford station and posted for customers at the drop off areas at the zoo.  

PLUS, zoo visitors can show their SunRail ticket at the Zoo’s ticket counter to receive 20% OFF their admission to the Zoo. This discount is only valid on-site at the Zoo and is not available online.

The zoo is also staying open an extra hour for TWO WEEKS of Spring Break 2024.

From Friday, March 15 to Friday, March 29, the Zoo will be open until 5 pm. That means more time to feed the giraffes, more time to ride the train, and more time to discover your inner wild.
