Celebrate Leu Gardens' 65th Anniversary with Free Admission and opening of new Edible Garden

Harry P. Leu Gardens is celebrating it's 65th anniversary with a special celebration event this weekend.

A beloved Orlando attraction is celebrating a milestone. For 65 years, Harry P. Leu Gardens has helped local residents and visitors enjoy the beauty of nature while providing a space for plants and wildlife to thrive.
Join Leu Gardens on Saturday, March 7 as they celebrate a remarkable milestone with a special day of free admission for all guests! This day kicks off the first of many special events celebrating they community as part of their Legacy In Bloom celebration.
For more than six decades, the Gardens have been a place of beauty, learning, and connection for the Orlando community, and this anniversary is Leu Gardens way of saying thank you to everyone who has helped shape their story.

The day of celebration on March 7 also marks an exciting new chapter with the grand opening of the attractions Edible Garden. Designed to inspire curiosity and conservation, the Edible Garden highlights fruits, vegetables, and other useful plants while showcasing sustainable gardening practices and the joy of growing your own food.
Guests are invited to explore the entire Gardens at their own pace, enjoy the beauty of the 50-acres, and be among the first to experience this new garden space.
Ahead of the opening of the new Edible Garden, Orlando Mayor, Buddy Dyer visited for a sneak peak, commenting, "I'm proud that the City of Orlando manages the gardens and I'm grateful for our staff who ensure it can welcome residents of all ages for relaxation, exploration and events. Today we celebrated a new addition: a garden with edible plants designed to educate and inspire on how food can be grown here in our city."
He encourages everyone to attend the free day on Saturday, "I want to encourage the entire community to come and visit the gardens. On Saturday, we’re celebrating the 65th anniversary with free admission. It will be a great opportunity to take advantage of our "winter" weather and explore all the gardens have to offer."
