Exciting news as United Arts of Central Florida is currently seeking street musicians and performance artists to perform in community spaces in the heart of Downtown Orlando.
Calling all street musicians and performance artists! Join the vibrant arts scene in downtown Orlando with United Arts of Central Florida and become part of Orlando's cultural tapestry.
United Arts of Central Florida is igniting community spaces in our bustling city center, and needs YOU to bring these experiences to life.
United Arts of Central Florida is currently seeking to engage street musicians and performance artists interested in activating community spaces in the heart of Downtown Orlando.
As part of a broader partnership between the Downtown Development Board and The City of Orlando, United Arts is leveraging resources and relationships to increase access to the arts for all residents, employees, and tourists.
Artists are compensated a minimum of $250 for the two hours based on experience, time and performance. The performance must fill the 2-hour block. (All events are to be rated PG-13 or under unless otherwise noted below)
Interested performing artists must complete the application to be considered for placement within this program. All activation sites will have canopies and/or tree shade.
Activation Sites:
City Hall Plaza - Across the street from the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, the musician will stand/sit facing the City Beautiful Cafe and play for cafe customers eating at the outdoor tables. (3x weekly - 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM)
Duncan Park - Nestled between the Bank of America Financial Center and 200 South Orange, the performer will stand/sit and play for customers of Latin Square Cuisine, DT Cafe, Nature's Table Cafe, and other businesses. (3x weekly - 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM)
Lake Eola Park
Walt Disney Amphitheater - Seats 983 People (Saturday Family Programing (G Rated) Weekly - 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM)
The Forum - Seats approximately 80 People (Saturdays- Weekly - 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM)
54 West Church Street - In the heart of Historic Church St Station with plenty of restaurants, sitting area and parking & walking distance to the Kia Center (2x weekly - 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM and Weekly 4:00 PM-6:00 PM)
Heritage Square & Wall Street - Surrounded by Historical Buildings, Cypress grove, public art, the History Center and pedestrian only Wall St with restaurants and nightlife. (3x weekly - 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM)
North Quarter - Located North of Colonial, surrounded my residents, business and restaurants (Weekly - TBD)
Parramore - Filled with colorful street art and vibrant eateries serving soul food, UCF Downtown Campus (Weekly - TBD)
Luminary Green - 2.3 acre park unique and special gathering place and home of Creative Village and restaurants (Monthly - TBD)
