Bowling returns to Orlando’s Milk District as Primrose Lanes soft opens with food, drink and bowling

Let the good times roll, as bowling is finally returning to The Milk District where bowling has been a fixture since 1959,

Having been in existence since 1959, Colonial Lanes on North Primrose Drive in the Milk District closed its doors back in May 2018 for a major remodel, and now, finally bowling is back.

Founded in 1959, Colonial Lanes contained many firsts for Central Florida. However, after being sold to a self-storage developer, it was on the verge of destruction until The Milk District and residents joined to save it.

When Team Market Group purchased the building, the site no longer had 32 lanes due to previous work by developers, so TMG worked with the remaining eight lanes and repurposed the demolished lanes to honor the building's past.

The much loved, and very much missed Colonial Lanes maybe no more, but Primrose Lanes is a worthy successor, with the remodelled bowling alley soft opening this week.

Primrose Lanes aims to provide feel-good dining and unique entertainment, where guests can make new memories while embracing glimpses of another era.

Part of the renovations at Primrose Lanes included incorporating historical elements into the design, including transforming a previous lane into the new bar top.

Primrose Lanes have even utilised the old turret baskets, turning them into new lights!
