The wildest ride in the wilderness is closing for refurbishment in January, 2023 at Walt Disney World.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will temporarily close for a very short refurbishment at the Magic Kingdom Park, beginning January 9, 2023.
With such a short a time for the refurbishment, it will consist of clean up and general maintenance only, with the ride scheduled to reopen for guests on January 14, 2023, days after it will close.
