Another popular bar is closing in downtown Orlando, with the lively bar, Cocktails and Screams announcing its closure.

Cocktails and Screams, a longtime fixture in downtown Orlando is closing its doors after six years.
The popular horror-themed bar located at 39 W Pine St, Orlando, has announced the sad news via social media that it will close later this month with the venue open for the last time on Friday, March 20, 2026.
Cocktails and Screams featured a lively mix of year-round events including Horror Movie Trivia Nights, Magic Michael Horror Male Revue, EMO Nights, Les Vixens Burlesque, Pirate Scaryoke, Drag Shows, Magic Nights, and many more.

The bar is closing less then a year after its owners closed another two downtown locations, with 1UP Orlando, a retro gaming bar, and HighT Orlando, an "Alice in Wonderland" inspired venue closing in April 2025. At the time the owners encouraged patrons to support Cocktails & Screams, which would be remaining open for business.
Now the axe has sadly fallen on Cocktails & Screams, with downtown losing yet another nighttime favorite.
In announcing the closure, Cocktails & Screams described the bar as a place which began as a gathering place for Halloween lovers, becoming a refuge for the strange, the spooky, and the misfits of downtown's nightlife scene.
"The time has come for the lights to dim on our little haunted house," the bar announced, "This place was never just a bar, it was a living ghost story built by the incredible community that walked through our doors. Every guest, every scream, every night of music and mayhem helped bring this haunt to life.
The bar went on to thank all of its customers, performers, bartenders and security team past and present for helping keep the bar alive. "You were the beating heart behind the haunt. None of this magic would have existed without you,"
Commenting that downtown Orlando has changed, the bar owners cited this, and the fees imposed by the city as the main reasons for the closure. "Nightlife traffic has faded, and the increasing fees and regulatory costs imposed by the city of Orlando have become impossible for small, independent venues like ours to survive."
Not wanting the venue to quietly close into the night, Cocktails & Screams is hosting a "farewell tour," for a final round of "screams, songs, and spirits," inviting customers to jon them one last time.
"Join us for our final two weeks as we celebrate Halloween the only way we know how loud, haunted, and surround by the community that made these six years legendary."
Cocktails and Screams will host its farewell tour from 7 pm to 2 am on March 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, and 20.
