Animal Actors On Location! has had a good run at Universal Orlando, but it's days are now numbered, catch the show while you can!
Some pretty "wild" and "ruff" news from Universal Orlando Resort, as they confirm that after a run of over 36 years, the live animal show at Universal Studios Florida, Animal Actors On Location! is coming to an end, with the animals and their trainers performing for one last time on Monday, November 2, 2027
Animal Actors on Location! originally opened on June 7, 1990 as Animal Actors Stage, one of only three opening day attractions remaining at Universal Studios Florida. The show was renamed Animal Planet Live in 2001, before it changed to its current name, Animal Actors on Location! in 2006.
The show features a mix of video segments, live skits and audience interactions, with a menagerie of vibrant birds, mischievous pups, agile cats and more.
Universal Orlando Resort confirmed the news via a statement, "As Universal Orlando Resort continues to evolve, Animal Actors On Location! will take its final bow on November 2, 2026, making way for a future experience. A beloved part of Universal Studios Florida since opening day, the attraction has created lasting memories for Guests and Team Members for 36 years."
The resort has not elaborated on what will replace Animal Actors On Location! The show is located in the Hollywood section of Universal Studios Florida, between DreamWorks Land and Springfield, U.S.A. : Home of The Simpsons, so its anyones guess if the future expansion is for DreamWorks, The Simpsons or themed to Hollywood.
