ALEX AND ANI permanently closing it's Disney Springs retail location

With little notice, Disney Springs retailer ALEX AND ANI will permanently close it's doors today, New Year's Day.

Troubled jewelry and accessory retailer, ALEX AND ANI is closing it's Disney Springs retail location, and will have its final day of operation today January 1, 2024.

ALEX AND ANI had only recently moved into it's current location at Disney Springs last year, but the store has fallen victim to the dramatic decline in fortunes of the once thriving company.

The jewelry company was founded in 2004 by Carolyn Rafaelian, and at its peak had more than 70 stores. But in 2021 the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Then in June last year, the company announced that is was to close 20 of its remaining 27 locations plus its headquarters in Rhode Island.

Now it appears the company is closing the last of its stores with the company moving sales online..
