A new state-of-the-art pickleball complex is coming soon to Winter Springs

Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong and with the sport’s popularity soaring, a new state-of-the-art pickleball complex is coming to Winter Springs.

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports throughout Central Florida with new facilities popping up throughout the area including soon to open new clubs, The Pickleball Club at 1427 N. Semoran Blvd, Orlando and Crush Yard Pickleball Club & Restaurant which will open at 7840 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee.


While these facilities are private clubs, a brand new public facility is coming soon to Winter Springs with a new 14 court state-of-the-art pickleball complex currently under construction in Central Winds Park.

Once open, the new facility will be the largest pickleball complex in Seminole County. The 14-court facility will be capable of hosting tournaments, leagues, and possibly even serving as a home for a professional team.

Construction began in November 2022 with a budget of $2.2 million, with the complex originally set to feature 13 standard courts and one tournament-sized court. However the city decided to make all of the courts tournament-sized to generate revenue for the city and to draw professional pickleball players and enthusiasts from all over. The change grew the budget to $3.1 million


The facility is, first and foremost, for the community, and residents will always have priority access at no cost to play pickleball.


Set to open early this year, no official opening date has been announced.
