But Carrie is changing — and discovering a power she can barely control. When a cruel prom-night prank pushes her past her breaking point, the town of Chamberlain learns exactly what happens when you push someone too far. Based on Stephen King's debut novel, with a pop-rock score by Academy Award winners Michael Gore and Dean Pitchford ("Fame," "Footloose"), Carrie is a haunting, electrifying musical about bullying, belonging, and the moment cruelty turns to catastrophe. Performed by the high school artists of West End Prep at Theater West End in Sanford — the very age the story is about — it lands with a force that's impossible to look away from.
