À La Cart City, Downtown Orlando’s mini food truck park located in the new Art² Park on the corner of Orange Avenue and Robinson Street has had a mini-makeover!
There's been an upgrade at À La Cart City, with the arcade now featuring a beautiful mural by Mac De Sol. The fun new mural is part of the mural program at the art park. The intention is to have the murals change every so often to feature another artists work.
A portion of proceeds from À La Cart City goes into the fund to pay artists.
In addition to the mural, the arcade now has an air hockey table, mortal kombat, golden tee, retro racoons, and more.
A fun addition to the arcade is new prizes in the claw machine where you can win food from the food truck parks vendors!
Grab any stuffed animal with a sandwich to win a sandwich from Brick & Butter Orlando, pick up a red panda and you will win food from Red Panda Noodle, and any cookie plush will grab you a win from Phat Ash Bakes!
Stuffed animals AND food! Talk about a great prize. There are only a small amount so grab them if you can!
Art² Park is an 'urban pocket park' including a two-story container building that includes various food and drink options, a performance space, covered seating, two rotating food trucks, and more.
À La Cart is in charge of operations at Art², with the space home to some of our city's beloved small businesses, like Phat Ash Bakes and Red Panda Noodle, together with newer concepts like Eighty Twenty Burgers through the Culinary Collective.
In addition to the new rotating art at À La Cart, you can't miss the massive Urban Mirage 1 mural which blends bold cubist shapes, tropical hues, and detailed imagery from Florida’s natural landscape.
A key focal point is a depth-filled perspective scene inspired by a real photo of downtown Orlando’s skyline. Swans and paddle boats, familiar sights on Lake Eola Park, have been added to reflect the city's local identity and to invite viewers into the scene. The design uses 3D illusions, gradients, and shadowing to create a visual portal that draws visitors in - perfect for exploration, inspiration, and Instagram-worthy moments.
Funded by the City of Orlando's Community Redevelopment Agency, Art² is all about celebrating Orlando's artistic energy and building on the vision of an "Awesome Outdoor City" as outlined in the DTO Action Plan, a bigger effort to reimagine downtown's core.
