WWE Backlash brings the aftermath of Wrestlemania 42 to Tampa's Benchmark International Arena

The first premium live event after WrestleMania 42 - Backlash comes to Benchmark International Arena in Tampa featuring five massive fights.
The dust has just about settled on this year's WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, and now attention turns to WWE Backlash 2026!
WWE Backlash will take place Saturday, May 9, at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, marking the first premium live event following WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas and features the fallout from the biggest event of the year.
Backlash will feature five matches, all of which will have major implications for WWE's future direction.
In the main event, Roman Reigns who won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania against CM Punk, will defend his new title for the first time against his cousin Jacob Fatu in what is sure to be an explosive match.
Jacob Fatu. "The Samoan Werewolf" challenged Reigns the night after he won the title at WrestleMania 42. Since then the bad blood between them has been boiling over, with Fatu breaking out the Tongan Death Grip on Reigns several times.
Another explosive matchup will see United States Champion Trick Williams take on challenger Sami Zayn, and everyone knows there is nothing but bad blood between them!
Fans in Tampa will also witness former allies Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker take on each other, with both superstars now out to destroy each other.
A suprise addition the the event will see WWE legend John Cena, who has now officially retured from WWE, return to the ring in Tampa to "break some history-making news".
