Winter Park restaurant, 310 Park South announces closure after 26 years

Featuring a wine bar and live music, plus outdoor dining and a popular weekend brunch, 310 Park South has been a fixture on Park Avenue since1999.
Popular restaurant, 310 Park South is to close after 26 years in Winter Park’s historic and lively Park Avenue.
Restaurant founder and owner Joanne McMahon announced the news on Saturday, December 28 via a statement on the restaurants social media account.
Joanne a well known figure in Winter Park, moved to the area from Boston, Massachusetts, 30 years ago, opening Partridge Tree Gift Shop on Park Avenue. After several years of being next to an empty restaurant, Joanne asked her landlord if she could put a family restaurant there, and 310 Park South opened in 1999.
Now, 26 years later the restaurant is to close, with Joanne commenting, "This was my life. I love what I do. So when you know what needs to be done but really can't do it, someone else will."
While Joanne has not revealed when the restaurant will close or who is taking over, she did comment, "310 needs to be rejuvenated and rebranded into a different concept. I am so happy an amazing group is going to do that. This is going to be great for our community and I am very excited."
Joanne went on to thank the restaurants patrons over the years, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Watching children be born, graduate, married and have children is incredible. She then thanked her employees, "To my 1000's of employees who were like kids to me, and friends, I am going to have to write a book, there is too much. Helping them grow, watching them succeed in their goals, having to be the tough guy but watching the outcome. Being so proud of them from near and across the ocean. Watching their families grow.I am so thankful."
In addition to 310 Park South, Joanne has worked with some of the top chefs in the area; opening two other 310 Restaurant locations across Orlando, 310 Nona and 310 Lakeside, as well as seafood restaurant, blu on the avenue in Winter Park, and her newest venture, an upscale Steakhouse, BoVine, located at the former Park Plaza Gardens which opened in 2020.
