Walter’s Tavern offers craft cocktails, live entertainment, and an elevated sports-viewing experience.

Big news at The Packing District, with a new 3,800-square-foot bar located inside the historic Great Southern Box Company Food Hall in the heart of The Packing District now open.
Walter’s Tavern, owned by longtime Orlando operators Scott Kotroba and Matty Bullitt, had a friends-and-family opening over the weekend of Nov 15, and has now soft opened to the public, open Thursday through Monday weekly. Thursday - Sunday, 11 am - 12 am, and Monday, 4 pm - 12 am.
With nearly 20 years of experience running downtown Orlando staples such as Bullitt Bar, McQueens Social Lounge, Sessions Lounge, Basement, Attic, and Papi Smash'd Burgers, Scott Kotroba and Matty Bullitt, brings proven expertise in creating vibrant nightlife and dining experiences to one of Central Florida's most dynamic new neighborhoods.
Led by General Manager Zack Zeisloft, Walter’s Tavern has been designed to celebrate the spirit of Walter Simmons Phillips, and the Phillips Family. Walter's Tavern honors the Phillips’ legacy, reflecting their impact on Central Florida’s citrus industry, community development, and local heritage.

Walter, the youngest son of Dr. P. Phillips, was an avid outdoorsman and licensed pilot. He served in the Civil Air Patrol during WWII. His strong personality and love for Florida is also reflected in the new bar's design elements.
The new venue features craft cocktails, an elevated sports-viewing experience, and live entertainment.
