Walt Disney World Releases Statement With An Update On Hurricane Ian

This morning Thursday, September 29, 2022, Walt Disney World has issued a brief

statement with an update on Hurricane Ian.

No mention was made regarding any damage to the Walt Disney World theme parks, and no indication was made when we might see the parks re-opening.

They did however confirm that today, crews will be assessing the impact of the storm and clearing debris.

The statement read:

We are thinking of our neighbors across Florida. We will get through this together and will be there to help our cast members and community.

As we keep safety in mind, our theme parks and other operating areas remain closed today while crews assess the impact of the storm and clear debris. Thank you to all of our cast members who continue to care for the thousands of guests currently staying at our Disney Resort hotels.
