As Hurricane Ian inches ever closer to Central Florida and all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks remain closed, the resort hotels are now offering character meet and greets for guests sheltering during Hurricane Ian.

Disney is also providing special activities, free play at arcades, and swimming pools will remain open as long as possible.

As we already reported Walt Disney World resort hotels are now serving meal kits which are available at quick service locations.

The meal kits are priced $5 - $7 for adults, and $4 - $6 for kids.

At many resort hotels, restaurants are currently still operating as usual, serving a regular menus, but as Hurricane Ian gets closer restaurants will close.

Walt Disney World offer the meal kits for when a shelter-in-place guidance is issued,

Guests with rooms in the same building where restaurants are located are welcome to check for availability while the shelter-in-place guidance is in effect. With safety in mind, Guests whose resort rooms are in exterior buildings must not leave those buildings during shelter-in-place guidance, including to access quick service and table service restaurants.
