Guests visiting Walt Disney World today, Monday, October 30, 203, were treated to a spectacular flyover by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds as part of the National Veterans and Military Families Month.

The six F-16 Fighting Falcons flew over Magic Kingdom and EPCOT at approximately 10:30 am this morning.

“America’s Team” announced their arrival with a thunderous pass over Magic Kingdom Park followed by EPCOT delighting all who looked skyward at this display of military talent and professionalism. The Thunderbirds then returned to Magic Kingdom Park for a second pass over Cinderella Castle culminating in their famous delta maneuver as they rapidly accelerated skyward in different directions giving the appearance of an unforgettable fireworks display.

The timing of this expanded flyover was especially meaningful this year as The Walt Disney Company marks its 100th anniversary and the Thunderbirds celebrate 70 years of inspiring patriotism.

Among those enjoying this special air demonstration was a group of ROTC students from the University of Central Florida. Nearly 50 students joined us in this celebration of service as they prepare to be the next generation of military leaders.

The Thunderbirds are assigned to the 57th Wing, and are based at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

Each November, the military community observes National Veterans and Military Families Month to celebrate how special military families are and recognize all the ways they support their service members
