Trump lays into DeSantis - Claims Disney is destroying him and says Disney could leave Florida

Former President Donald Trump has once again blasted Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in his one man war against Disney, taking yet another swipe at his expected Republican rival for the 2024 election. and it's not just the Donald, former New Jersey Gov Chris Christie and other potential GOP presidential hopefuls have also slammed DeSantis’ for his handling of his ongoing war with Disney.

Trump has previously said that "Ron DeSanctimonious got outplayed, outsmarted, and embarrassed by Mickey Mouse and Disney."

Now today, following DeSantis threatening to build a prison next to the theme park as payback for trying to strip his powers over the land the Magic Kingdom sits on, Donald Trump has predicted that Disney's next move could be to stop investing in Florida, or to leave Florida altogether, and says that Disney is destroying DeSantis.

Trump took to Truth Social to say "DeSanctus is being absolutely destroyed by Disney. His original P.R. plan fizzled, so now he's going back with a new one in order to save face."

He continued, "They could even announce a slow withdrawal or sale of certain properties, or the whole thing. Watch! That would be a killer. In the meantime, this is all so unnecessary, a political STUNT! Ron should work on the squatter MESS!”

Trump lays into DeSantis - Claims Disney is destroying DeSantis and says Disney could leave Florida!

DeSantis and his one man mission against Disney is also causing concern for more Democrats as Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said "That’s not the guy I want sitting across from President Xi, or sitting across from Putin and trying to resolve what’s happening in Ukraine, if you can’t see around a corner Bob Iger created for you."

He also added “I don’t think Ron DeSantis is a conservative, based on his actions towards Disney.”

Another possible presidential hopeful New Hampshire Gov Chris Sununu said DeSantis’ feud with Disney is not playing out how he though.

“Look, this has gone from kind of going after a headline to something that has devolved into an issue, and it convolutes the entire Republican message,” Sununu said on CNN.

This criticism of DeSatis from within his own part comes after he held a press conference yesterday at the Reedy Creek Administration Building in Lake Buena Vista.

DeSantis revealed that there is legislation coming that will revoke the development agreement passed by the Reedy Creek board before the state took over the Reedy Creek Improvement District.

DeSantis claimed the “11th hour” agreement created by the Reedy Creek Improvement District was full of “a plethora of legal infirmities that render them void.”

He stated his intention to examine lands included within the Reedy Creek District for public use, including some ideas that the new board had floated, including the possibility of state parks, additional theme parks, or a State Penitentiary.

YES, DeSantis said that this includes the state board being able to decide what to do with undeveloped land within the former Reedy Creek Improvement District, whether that be a state park, additional theme parks, or a State Penitentiary.! YES! SERIOUSLY!!

Also as predicted DeSantis said the state will also take over inspections of rides at the theme parks.

At the press conference, the newly elected Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson talked about further steps that the State could take.

Simpson said that there is a proposal from DeSantis and the Florida Legislature that would allow the State to have a new inspection process for Disney World attractions.

Currently, Disney World is one of a handful of theme park operators that are exempt from inspections but must report injuries to the state. Other theme park operators included in the 2001 “MOU Exempt Facilities” list include SeaWorld, Universal Orlando, Busch Gardens, and Legoland.

BUT, DeSantis said that the law would be drawn to only target special districts, ie Walt Disney World!

We await more on this ongoing farce soon!
