Sad news as one of our own favourite restaurants at Walt Disney World appears to be on the chopping block, and is set for closure this spring for a refurbishment that what will change the restaurant forever
Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground which first opened in 1974, is pencilled in to close in spring 2023 for refurbishment, and will cease to exist as a table service restaurant.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Trail’s End was an all you can eat buffet experience, but when the restaurant reopened in 2021, it was changed to a family-style restaurant, now sadly 2023 will really be Trail's End, as the restaurant is transformed into a quick serve location.

The new food location will have a “marketplace concept with expanded quick service options,”
It's not known what will happen to P and J’s Southern Takeout now that a new quick serve is in the works.
Thankfully the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review will not be affected and will remain unchanged according to reports.
