Toys“R”Us is officially coming to Oviedo Mall with a new, year-round location
The beloved toy retailer will be opening a year-round location at the mall this fall, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
Geoffrey is officially heading to Oviedo. Oviedo Mall has announced that Toys“R”Us will open a new, year-round location at the mall, bringing one of the most recognizable names in toys to Oviedo just in time for the 2026 holiday shopping season.
The new store is expected to open this fall, with an official opening date to be announced soon.
“For so many of us, Toys”R”Us is tied to some pretty specific childhood memories wandering the aisles, making a Christmas list and trying to convince your parents that you absolutely needed one more thing,” said Josh Gunderson, Marketing & Events Director at Oviedo Mall. “Getting to welcome Toys”R”Us to Oviedo Mall year-round feels incredibly special. There’s obviously a lot of nostalgiaattached to the name, but we’re even more that a new generation of kids gets to make those memories here.”
The opening comes as Oviedo Mall continues to evolve its mix of shopping, dining, entertainment and community experiences, with an emphasis on giving Central Florida residents reasons to spend time Together beyond a traditional shopping trip.
For Toys“R”Us, that means something increasingly rare: the chance to walk into a toy store and explore. “Online shopping is convenient, but opening a cardboard box on your porch isn't quite the same as being a kid standing in a toy store surrounded by possibilities,” Gunderson said. “We want Oviedo Mall to be a place where people actually want to spend their time, and Toys”R”Us fits beautifully into that.”
The early October opening will give shoppers plenty of time to explore the new store ahead of the holiday season — and unlike a seasonal pop-up, Geoffrey won't be packing his bags when the decorations come down.
Additional information, including the official opening date, store location, hours and opening celebrations, will be announced as details are finalized.
