Kimberly Akimbo will make you laugh out loud but also sneak up on you emotionally, blending sharp humor with deeply human moments.

Tony Award-winning musical Kimberly Akimbo brings its heartfelt, funny to Orlando's Walt Disney Theater

A new musical about growing up and growing old (in no particular order), Kimberly Akimbo is the winner of five Tony Awards including Best Musical, and it's coming to Orlando's Dr Phillips Center as part of the AdventHealth Broadway in Orlando 25/26 Season.

The musical from Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire and Tony Award-winner Jeanine Tesori takes to the stage at Walt Disney Theater from April 14 - 19, and follows Kim, a bright and funny Jersey teen, who happens to look like a 72-year-old lady.

And yet her aging disease may be the least of her problems. Kimberly is about to turn 16 and recently moved with her family to a new town in suburban New Jersey. In this “howlingly funny heartbreaker of a show” (The New Yorker), Kim is forced to navigate family dysfunction, a rare genetic condition, her first crush...and possible felony charges. Ever the optimist, she is determined to find happiness where not even time is on her side.
