The popular beer and wine bar is closing, but customers need not worry too much as familiar faces are taking over the spot soon.

The Thirsty Topher has announced that is is closing up shop after 12 years in Ivanhoe Village, with their next door neigbor, Ziggie’s Pizza taking over their location at 601 Virginia Drive.
The beer and wine bar made the announcement on their social media accounts, informing customers that they would be closing at the end of this month, April 2025.
You can read the full statement here:

Ziggie's Pizza is owned and operated by brother-duo Christian and Floyd Ziegler. Growing up, they were always called "Ziggie" amongst their peers, so it was only fitting to name their pizza spot by their nickname.
Ziggie's is connected to The Thirsty Topher, so when the space became available it made sense for Christian and Floyd to expand their operations and take over the Thirsty Topher space.
The brothers hope to get the bar up and running soon, and are not planning on making any major changes to the bar for now.
