 The men and women who work and serve on MacDill Air Force Base invite you to Tampa Bay AirFest 2024.

Due to the event taking place on Easter Weekend, for the first time ever, the 2024 Tampa Bay AirFest will be held on a Friday and Saturday, so that you can enjoy AirFest, and keep your Easter Sunday. It is sure to be a Heart-Pounding Air Performances along with Family Friendly Activities for all the family.


The show on Friday, March 29, and Saturday, March 30, 2024, the FREE event will feature an amazing variety of military and civilian flight performances, including The United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, The Thunderbirds.


This two-day event is your chance to get up close and personal with military/civilian aircraft and pilots!

In addition to the Thunderbirds, AirFest will feature military performances by the C-17 Demo Team showcasing the C-17 Globemaster III, the most flexible cargo aircraft to enter the airlift force.


The F-18 Rhino Demo Team will fly the F/A-18F Super Hornet in a 15 minute demonstration of the Navy’s workhorse carrier based fighter, and the Air Combat Command A-10 Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team will showcase the unique combat capabilities of the A-10 "Warthog."


The Para-Commandos, the US Special Operations Command's premier aerial parachute demonstration team will also be performing, together with the KC-135 Stratotanker which for more than 60 years has provided the core aerial refueling capability for the United States Air Force.

The Warbird Thunder Airshow will provide a 12-minute airshow performance featuring the North American SNJ Texan, a former WWII Navy Advanced Training Aircraft.


Civilian performers include Michael Goulian, one of North America’s most decorated aerobatic pilots, Bill Yoak who will be showcasing his 1945 Mustang, Melissa Burns, a professional aerobatic pilot, display skydiver and B.A.S.E. Jumper, and Rob Holland, a distinguished pilot blazing a trail of innovation, developing maneuvers never before seen at airshows.


Rounding out the performances is Firewalkers International, a spectacular Air Show Pyrotechnics Team who will light up the sky with an exciting, loud, HOT and jaw-dropping Pyrotechnic show.

On the ground, the aircraft displays will include the A-10, F-16, and F-35 fighter jets. Plus C-17, KC-10, KC-46, C-5, and C-130J tankers and airlift aircraft. Plus many warbirds, civilian aircraft, helos, and more.


MacDill Air Force Base has called the Tampa Bay region home for over 80 years. The great flying weather in Tampa Bay plays a crucial role in the training and operations they conduct, it is the outstanding support and hospitality in the Bay Area that enables the airforce to execute their global air refueling mission. AirFest is one small way to say "Thank You" for ther unwavering support of the base and it's personnel.
