The inaugural Sushi Showdown lands at Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs on September 21

Some of the city's most talented sushi chefs go knife-to-knife — each creating a signature sushi and a cooked small plate from the same fish.

On September 21, 2026, Morimoto Asia will transform into Orlando's ultimate sushi stage as the city's most talented sushi chefs go head-to-head in the inaugural Sushi Showdown.

This one-night-only culinary competition invites guests to sample exclusive signature sushi creations crafted with premium rice and the freshest ingredients before casting their vote for the dish worthy of being crowned Orlando's first sushi champion. Judged on taste, freshness and overall cohesiveness, every bite counts.

Guests can choose between two tasting sessions - 5:30 to 7:30 pm or 8: to 10 pm - and elevate the experience with an optional beverage package featuring premium sake pairings from Dassai, Hakkaisan, Kubota, Nanbu Bijin and Soto.

Tickets are $125 for general admission, with a limited number of $700 VIP experiences available.

Throughout the evening, attendees will enjoy live entertainment, vote for their favorite chef using a gold coin and participate in an exciting live auction benefiting Give Kids The World, with 100% of auction proceeds supporting the nonprofit's mission of creating unforgettable vacations for critically ill children and their families.
